John 3:16 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God showed His love for the world by giving. He gave the best He had. What more could He give? But He did not stop there. He continues to give. Without moving around, we can just sit in one place and look around to see so much that God has given to us. Things we may think we gave ourselves really began with God's giving to us. If we bought something with money we earned, God gave us the strength to earn the money and gave us the job to collect the salary. If someone else gave it to us, God did the same thing for them. Sometimes the Lord guides the steps of people to be a blessing to us. All the things we have that are good originate with God. As James said, every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights. Let us be very grateful today for God's love demonstrated to us through His gifts to us.
