Proverbs 25:2 NKJV

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 29:29, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” There are things that we may never learn on this side of Heaven, but everything that is a secret with God is not meant to be kept from us. In 1 Corinthians 2, the scripture tells us that we have not seen, heard or understood the things that God prepared for us but God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. That lets us know that God has things that are hidden for us, not from us. Proverbs 25:2 reveals that the glory of kings is to search out a matter. There are many things we, the kings who belong to the King of kings should know, but we have to search them out. We need to put forth an effort to learn more, to gain more understanding. We need to use our time wisely and include time for research in the natural as well as the spiritual. We research spiritually through prayer, meditation and spending time listening to God – giving Him our attention so He can have an opportunity to reveal things to us.
