1 Timothy 1:2 NKJV
To Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
Paul addressed his first letter to Timothy with a greeting that includes his wish for Timothy to experience mercy from the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. I have used "Peace" in greetings, but do not recall using "Mercy." I think it may be good to use it from time to time to remind myself and those I come in contact with that the gift of mercy from God is important to all of us. It is a reminder to stay humble, because all we have accomplished or received is because of the Lord's mercy. We need mercy every day whether we are aware of it or not.
