Joshua 10:21 NKJV
And all the people returned to the camp, to Joshua at Makkedah, in peace. No one moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
Joshua was forced to go into battle because a nation he had a treaty with was being attacked. God helped Israel, under the leadership of Joshua to win the battle decisively. Those who went out to war returned in peace. Nobody wanted to oppose Israel at that time. This is what we can expect as we enter spiritual warfare. When we are attacked, let us seek and receive God's help so we can come through in peace. God wants us in peace - undisturbed, and in health and prosperity. If we know what His will is, we will know what we are aiming for. We should not lay down the weapons of our warfare until we accomplish the goal - until we return in peace.
