Community Outreaches & Missions

Hispanic Ministry

The Hispanic Ministry consists of dedicated members with a positive, hospitable spirit, who speak enough Spanish to communicate and understand our Hispanic visitors and make them feel welcome, comfortable and appreciated for coming to our church. They assist the ushers to make sure that our Spanish-speaking guests sit down in the designated area for translation and to make sure they understand how to use the equipment that allows them to hear the message in Spanish. Team members also make sure that the translation equipment is returned to the usher in charge. (Some Hispanics have a working knowledge of the English language and desire to practice it so they prefer not to use the translation equipment.) Members of The Hispanic Ministry team assist as interpreters during the service when Hispanic guests respond to any invitations extended by Pastor Gool or one of the other ministers. For those qualified members who are fluent in Spanish we ask them to assist as simultaneous interpreters during Sunday Services one Sunday a month.

Jail/Prison Ministry

The Jail and Prison Ministry Team are an energetic group of men and women who travel to jails and prisons in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. They not only minister to the inmates, but also get involved with their families. They meet the last Sunday of each month to pray for the individual prisoners they have come in contact with, and for each member of the team.

Missions Department

Our mission is to present the plan of salvation to people locally and globally and to minister to the physical needs of people. The Missions Office serves as the center for outreach ministries and support services for Victory Christian Center . Outreach ministries include College, International, Prison, Shelter, Super Saturday and Transportation. Support services include Emergency Assistance, Employment Assistance, Food and Clothing, and Temporary Housing. Request for services and general information is first directed to the Missions Office, then communicated to the appropriate area.

Super Saturday Outreach

Super Saturday is an outreach to inner city children in Charlotte . Each Saturday children are transported to the church in our buses, given a lively bible study, a hot lunch and fun recreational activities free of charge to their parents. The goal of the program is to give opportunity for the children ages 5 to 12 years to ask Jesus into their hearts and make a difference in their families and communities.
