#IAMVictory Day 2017

#I AM Victory Day Full of Fun, Laughter & Fellowship

Victory Christian Center's very first I AM Victory Day was a huge success, and we give God ALL the glory. Pastor Gool started off by calling up the young people (youth and children present) so that they could be prayed on by the ministers. They prayed for their health and for the upcoming school year. Pastor shared a powerful message on "I AM Victory"; he shared on what victory was about for the kingdom of God as well as for the VCC church body.

THANK YOU to all who joined us and participated in our fellowship and fun after service. We know that we are victorious in Christ and as a ministry, we are excited about all that He has done and will do as we continue to trust, obey and follow His leading. We love you and thank you for your tremendous support, Victory Family. God bless! #IAMVictory

Good Like A Medicine Comedy Hour A Barrel of Laughs

Good Like A Medicine Comedy Hour, A Barrel of Laughs

If you missed out on the Good Like A Medicine Comedy Hour with Comedian Mark Gregory, you missed out on a barrel of laughs! Those that attended laughed and cried more than they had in awhile as Mark Gregory engaged with many members of the audience and even one of the camera man; it was all in good fun; and we definitely left filling refreshed. We thank God for those who were able to come down from any stresses and cares of the week and to be refreshed spiritually and in their souls.

First Friday Bible Study | JULY 2017

First Friday Bible Study|  JULY 2017

"Doing Damage to Satan's Kingdom"

On First Friday Bible Study this month, Pastor Gool shared on "Doing Damage to Satan's Kingdom". He shared on how God actually expects us to do damage to Satan's Kingdom and how we have to understand the power of positive faith. In addition, he shared how God wants us on the scene not in the simulator. The action is out preaching the gospel. Mrs. Gool shared briefly on practicing faith in small things. We must cultivate a reverence for God that will help us to be obedient. The message is available in the VCC Wordshop.

VCC Health Fair a Success!

VCC Health Fair a Success!

The annual VCC Health Fair took place on this past weekend in the Victory Youth Building grounds. The event kicked off at 7:30am with vendor presentations from key health professionals and experts. The attendees benefited from free health screenings on blood pressure, dental health, Height/Weight BMI and more! They also received helpful information from the panelists on a variety of topics ranging from Infared Thermal Imaging (thermography), Bemer Therapy, healthy eating and food preparation.

Young and old had an opportunity to exercise and build up their heart rate by participating in the long-anticipated Fun Run (or Walk), which was facilitated by Health and Fitness Instructors Darryl Douglas, Latrice Coleman and Gale Lyons. Fitness sessions were also held in the gymnasium for the ladies in attendance while the men took advantage of the weight room during the Health Fair.

There was a Nutrition panel was moderated by VCC Health & Fitness head, Dr. Michael Metcalf. The panel included naturapathic Dr. Kivette Parks, Dr. Darryl Robinson from the Department of Agriculture, Dr. Kat Wassung of The Charlotte Thermography Center and our very own Dr. Valeria Avery, Waunea Robinson, Mrs. Marilyn Gool and Mrs. Joi White.

In addition to helpful information shared on alternatives to mammograms, live food demos were also shared on preparing healthy smoothies, trail mix, salad/salad dressing and grilled fish. Some of the recipes are also shared below (click button). The event was wrapped up with scrumptious lunch prepared by Floodgates Catering; and, it ended with a helpful, open question and answer session, where the audience was able to ask questions of the nutrition panel.

We thank God that the event was a great success, and we are grateful for this platform
to be able to provide knowledge so that, with the help of the Lord, those in attendance
will endeavor to make healthy improvements to their physical health and daily lifestyles,
as a whole.
