The Unseen Realm Part 27

John 4:24 NKJV

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Worship is one of the areas where we must operate in the unseen realm. Where are we worshiping from? Most people are worshiping from their heads. Their brains are in complete control. Paul, who prayed in unknown tongues very often, said that he prayed with his spirit as well as his understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15-17). He pointed out that giving thanks in the spirit (a heavenly language) was a way to give thanks well. In order for us to worship God well, we have to move beyond our heads. We must do it from our spirits. We must see ourselves connecting to our Father who is in the unseen realm. Whether in our known language or in other tongues, we must connect from our spirits. Otherwise our worship is very shallow and will not do much good. One thing that may help is to place one hand or both hands on the belly where the human spirit resides while worshiping to increase consciousness of worshiping from the spirit.

The Unseen Realm Part 26

Exodus 13:7-8 NKJV

Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days. And no leavened bread shall be seen among you, nor shall leaven be seen among you in all your quarters. And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’

God instructed the children of Israel to celebrate the feast of unleavened bread as a reminder of what He did for them when they came out of Egypt. They were to look at something they could see to remind them of the power of the unseen realm. Their escape from Egypt did not come about because of natural weapons or human schemes. It came because the mighty hand of a good God performed signs and wonders to bring their deliverance. It was a power that was unseen, but they saw the effects of it with their physical eyes. It is good to surround ourselves with things that remind us of the unseen power we depend upon for victory and success in our lives. One reason we gather with other believers to worship the Lord and learn His teachings is to remind us of the unseen Source that we all rely on. People who stop coming to church usually stray away from God because they get distracted with other things and voices that go against God. May we continue to participate in services that honor the Lord, and surround ourselves with things that keep us conscious of the unseen realm where all of our help comes from.

The Unseen Realm Part 25

Candy, Thanks for sending the message to remind me that you look forward to the "Throne Room." So many things have happened since I posted last but by God's grace I'm back now.

Colossians 3:1 NKJV

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

What does it mean that we were raised with Christ? We must go to the unseen realm to understand. Paul wrote in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” He reveals that when we were baptized, our going under the water was symbolic of our burying our old selves, and coming out of the water symbolized our being raised to a new life in Christ. We identify with Christ in His death (when the old man dies and we are born again), burial (when we put away the old life), and His resurrection (when we arise to a new life). We have to accept all this by faith. It is not something we can realize by our natural senses. So when Paul says, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above” we must accept that spiritually. We must use our spiritual imagination and see ourselves seated with Christ at the right hand of God. Then we must ponder what kind of things are “above” so we can seek or pursue them. One example of a revelation of what is ”above” can be found in James 3. Verses 13-18 explains how we can tell where the “wisdom” we are operating in is from above or of the devil. The things that are above can be found in God’s Word. So, let us read and be doers of the Word. That is one way we seek those things that are above.

The Unseen Realm Part 24

Ephesians 5:1 NKJV

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

How can we imitate God walking in the natural realm, doing everything by our physical senses? Is that how God operates? Absolutely not! He created this world by the spoken word. His Word caused a supernatural power to go into effect and form all the things He had the blue print for. The blue print was within Himself. God told Abraham he had made Abraham a father of nations when he only had one son by Sarah’s maid. God named Isaac whom He prophesied would be born to Sarah before Sarah became pregnant. God is definitely not limited by what can be perceived by the physical senses. He is not limited by what can be understood by the natural mind. If we are going to imitate God, we will have to take the limits of this natural realm off ourselves, and learn to operate in the unseen realm where God functions. It is a faith life. May our words and actions demonstrate a real faith in a real God until He can look at us and say, “Like Father, like son! Like Father, like daughter!”

The Unseen Realm Part 23

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Paul indicates in this verse that God can do more than we can imagine. How? It is according to the power that works in us. That power is unseen. How much of it is working in us? Paul told Timothy (2 Timothy 1:6) to stir up the gift that was in him. Obviously, something was in Timothy that could be activated. So it is with believers who are filled with the Spirit. There is a power at work in us. The level to which we allow that power to work will affect how much God can do in our lives. When we focus more on the unseen things of the Holy Spirit through prayer, communion and other ways, we stir up and turn up the power inside of us. The more we turn up the power within, the more we will experience the Lord doing more than we can imagine.

The Unseen Realm Part 22

Genesis 15:1 NKJV

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

God told Abraham (Abram) that the Lord was his shield and his exceedingly great reward. These were things Abraham could not see with his natural eyes. The shield and the exceedingly great reward were in the unseen realm. In order to move forward with God, Abram had to accept the reality of a world he could not see with his natural eyes. His acceptance by faith would enable him to experience in the natural world the reality of the unseen world. There are rewards on their way to us from the unseen realm. We must stay in faith and allow them to manifest on a continual basis.  I accept today that there are blessings stored up for me in the unseen realm that will manifest in the natural world. At any moment now I will encounter something good from God as I walk into what has been provided for me in the spirit world.
