Mysteries of the Kingdom - Something New

Yesterday morning (Friday), I went downstairs to use the inverter. I usually pick a scripture to listen to while on the inverter. This time I was indecisive so I asked our Father what I should listen to. I heard the word “January.” I thought for a moment as I pondered what it meant since the word is not in the scripture. Then I understood.

January is the first month of the year in the non-Jewish world. The first month of the year for the Jews is the month Nisan. It was established in the book of Exodus as the beginning of the Hebrew calendar, celebrating a new beginning for Israel as they left the bondage of Egypt and became free to follow Yahweh to a land of abundance. “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” (Exodus 12:2 NKJV) So, I listened to the story of the Exodus beginning with Exodus 12 where the New Year was announced. I pondered why my attention was drawn to this story. I thought that the Lord may be announcing a new beginning for us. He is going to do something new and it will be good and bring freedom. Later Friday evening, I was listening to a prophet who said the Lord told him He was going to do something new. (smile) Israel went through great difficulty before the new year began. We are going through difficulty now but there is victory and freedom at the end of this story for us as well. Stay focused on the Lord and be encouraged.

Mysteries of the Kingdom - A Melting Coming!

Monday, July 26, I had an inner vision during an encounter with the Lord where I saw my seat in Heaven next to the Father. (Ephesians 2:6) Instead of seeing me there, I saw what looked like a substance melting. I asked what it meant and heard instructions to look up the word “melt” in the Bible. As I looked, my spirit stopped on Joshua 2:10-11. In the NKJV it reads: “For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.” Then I heard that there will be a melting - people’s hearts melting around the world as they did in Jericho long ago. It will happen as the Lord once again demonstrates that He is God in such a way that it will be undeniable that it was Him. There have been some demonstrations lately but nothing like what is coming. I am in great expectation.

Let's Stop Circling the Same Mountain

Let's Stop Circling the Same Mountain

Deuteronomy 1:6 NKJV - ““The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.”

After many of the original group of Israelites who left Egypt had died, Moses addressed the younger generation and recalled the story of their journey from Egypt to the Jordan River. The first group did not make it to the Promised Land because they kept rebelling against God. Every time they faced a challenge they blamed Moses and showed no trust in God despite the fact that He had proven Himself faithful time and time again. They were at Mount Horeb for a long time when God said it was time to move toward their inheritance. They would not have been there that long if they had been obedient. I believe they could have made it if they reacted differently to their challenges. Instead of blaming Moses and turning away from God’s commands every time they faced difficulty, they could have recalled all God had done for them and and asked Moses to pray for a miracle from their miracle-working God who had come through for them every time they faced a challenge. He performed mighty signs and delivered them out of Egypt. He parted the Red Sea. He fed them with bread from Heaven and brought water our of the Rock. They never mentioned any of those things when a new challenge came up. They always asked, “Why?”

I spoke with someone recently who was facing a health challenge and were in the same mode - “Why?” Suddenly, I saw something I had not seen before. What they were doing is what most of us in the Church do and it’s the same thing the Israelites did that caused them not to make it into the Promised Land. When we face health challenges, we put a human (doctor) or our own brains first and go to God as a last resort. Even when we really turn our attention to the Lord, it’s after we have consulted a doctor, not before. The apostle called James told the Christians to call the elders of the church if they were sick (James 5:14-15). This was a way of seeking God first since the elders were representatives of Christ. James nor any other apostle in their writings referred anyone to a human physician. We’ve come a long way in the wrong way. God loves us and meets us where we are in His mercy, so we see His grace operating for us even when we go to a doctor. However, until things turn around significantly in this area and God becomes our physician as He desired to be, we will be at this mountain and going around it over and over again. We will keep asking “Why?” like the Israelites did and we will not make any progress to the Promised Land of redemption and divine health. Let’s start today to put God first as our healthcare provider. Instead of asking “Why?” let us rehearse what He has already done for us. Many of us know we would not be alive today had it not been for the mercy and grace of God. So, for example, if we face a health challenge, let’s say, “Jehovah Rapha, You have healed me time and time again. You healed my toe, my skin, my back and more. This that I am facing is a light thing for you. Show me if there is anything You want me to do as I wait on you for another manifestation of your glory in my body.” Then let’s worship Him often as our Healer.

Mysteries of the Kingdom - The Dead Speak

Mysteries of the Kingdom - The Dead Speak

Hebrews 11:4 NKJV: By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

On the night of June 3, 2021, I dreamt that a friend from out of state sent a Barbie doll to my daughter. It was a gift sent out of his sorrow due to his own death. (Very strange combination since the friend sending the gift was deceased) I examined the doll carefully and the information that came with it to make sure it was okay to have around. Eventually, my family decided we should give it away because we had no use for it. I wanted to suggest we give it to a poor girl who was riding in a vehicle with us but needed to discuss it without her hearing. So, we stopped the vehicle and got out to discuss it. (It was me, my husband and 2 daughters.) The girls said it would not be a good idea because the girl was from the “hood” and the people she lived amongst would only sell it. So we decided to find someone else to give it to. Then we got back into the vehicle.

Here is my interpretation. An item was sent by a dead person grieving his own death. In the natural this is not possible. However, dead people “speak” so to speak. So it represents a deceased person sending a message. A possibility is that, since the person died after taking a shot referred to as a vaccine, he was communicating a message to ease the pain of his passing. Perhaps, he wanted to warn others about the shot. When I thought of giving the doll to a poor person, the decision was made not to do that because they would only think about getting money from it. This could represent the fact that poor people are being enticed to get the shots with offers of money or rewards. They may not care about getting the shots but would take them for the rewards.

Beyond that, we could look at how each dead person speaks. When we go to a funeral and listen to the deceased being eulogized or hear people who knew them speak about them, the people who pass away are speaking through the lives they lived. We should pay attention and learn something from the passing of everyone we know about. If we would ponder what we can learn, we could become wiser. The dead speak. Are we listening and learning?

A Call for The Chase

A Call for The Chase

Psalm 42:1 NKJV - As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.

This morning I got up and sat in my favorite spot on the couch where there has often been a portal and literally waited for God to minister to me. Nothing out of the ordinary happened . Everything was quiet and my mind wandered off sometimes even though I tried to keep it on the Lord. Yet, I knocked on the door, even literally knocking for a moment to let God know I wanted His attention. After I got no response, I just let Him know I would continue to wait even after I got up and continued with what I needed to get done for the day. I read my Bible with a consciousness that He was there even though I felt nothing. I read my devotionals and then had to move on. I thought about how I have had so many experiences where I felt God’s presence and experienced supernatural things that assured me of His being with me and in me. Just last week I had a supernatural experience where the water my feet was soaking in was hot for the whole 30 minutes I had it in the container. I stayed in spontaneous praise and worship the whole time. Normally the water would be room temperature after that length of time. It was as though the fire in my spirit manifested like a heater in my feet and kept the water just as hot until the end as it was in the beginning. Then I sat this morning feeling dry. This is an example of how we cannot live by our feelings. The Israelites experienced so many supernatural manifestations but every time they reached a place where it seemed like God was not there they were ready to forget Him and turn to other gods. It showed the shallowness of their convictions. Sometimes God turns everything off so we can see where we are spiritually. Should we have to feel something to stick with God or can we walk by faith, not by sight? During those dry times, it is not an indication that God has left you. It is a call for the chase. God wants you to chase Him down and pant after Him like the deer pants after the water when he is thirsty. AFTER I came to write this devotional I began to feel the presence of God. I was not moving on with God because I felt His presence. I have no where else to go so I don’t mind having to chase after the Lord. I't’s my chance to show Him I’m not a flaky fair weather Christian. I have decided to follow Jesus and there is no turning back for me. We must learn to serve God without feelings or we will fall when persecution comes or when we are enticed by the world with something that appeals to our flesh. I’m grateful that God began to minister me after I began to write this morning but I was ready to go all day chasing Him until I “found Him.”

Song of Solomon 3:1-4a NKJV

By night on my bed I sought the one I love;
I sought him, but I did not find him.
“I will rise now,” I said,
“And go about the city;
In the streets and in the squares
I will seek the one I love.”
I sought him, but I did not find him.
The watchmen who go about the city found me;
I said,
“Have you seen the one I love?”

Scarcely had I passed by them,
When I found the one I love.
I held him and would not let him go

Mysteries of the Kingdom - The Spirit Over the Flesh

Galatians 5:16 NKJV

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

I had an interesting thing happen to me yesterday that I did not plan to share with anyone except a few people close to me. However, after talking with one of them I realized that there was a message in it that made Galatians 5:16 come alive to me more and may help someone else. This morning I felt a release to share a specific part of my experience. I was meditating in the presence of the Lord and as He ministered to me my right hand went up spontaneously in response. If we worship the Lord from our hearts, we know what it is like to just have our hands go up - without premeditating it - as we respond to His love and goodness. This time however, I felt like something was holding my hand up. I left my hand alone and did not try to take it down until I had to move. Normally, our arms get heavier as seconds go by and after about 30 seconds, we begin to feel like giving it a rest. How soon we have to take it down depends on how much we are in the spirit. This time, I did not feel the weight of my arm and had no desire to take it down. Actually, I felt like I would have to forcefully pull it down. I wish I had been able to time how long it stayed up but I believe it was at least a few minutes before I was disturbed and had to move. Also, I was listening for a car to pull up because I was going to open the door for the person arriving. I was amazed when I heard them at the door because I did not hear the car, the car door close, or any sounds before they got to the door. My street is very quiet and I can usually hear a car going past my house very easily. I would definitely hear someone pulling up in the driveway and the sound of a car door closing. I heard nothing. This incident illustrates Galatians 5:16 because the verse commands us walk in the spirit in order to avoid fulfilling the lust of the flesh. We do not need to try to avoid fulfilling the desires of the flesh in the flesh. When we get in the spirit we will automatically operate above the flesh. Our feelings will not dominate us. I could not feel the weight of my arm. I could not hear the sounds I normally heard. Therefore I could not react like I normally would. When we get in the flesh we respond to our feelings. When the spirit dominates, we do not have those feelings so we have no difficulty not following the flesh. Prayer in the spirit, meditating the Word, resting in God’s presence, worshiping Him are things that take us from the flesh realm to the Spirit realm. Instead of trying to overcome the flesh, if we just try to spend more time in the Spirit realm, we will have less and less struggle with our flesh. Selah
