1 Corinthians 13:7b Amplified Version

….. is ever ready to believe the best of every person

I remember when I was in college and God called me to a conference with Him while I was babysitting. The children had gone to bed. He asked me to bring my Bible into the living room. I felt like I had entered the throne room of God and I was uncomfortable. I felt unworthy to be there. He said to me, “I see you through the blood.” I relaxed. I realized He did not see me as I saw myself. God would never have laid down His life for us through Jesus Christ if he saw us as we were. He saw what we could become. He believed the best of us. He believed that if we had an opportunity to allow Him to fix us we would yield to Him and we could become the great family He desired us to be. When he called us to do the work we are doing – whatever we are doing in the Kingdom, He believed we would be faithful and He trusted us to do what He told us to do. Even when we failed, He trusted us to get back up and do better. He is always thinking positively about us. We have to resist His love in order to fail. Thank God that He believed in us when it seemed like no one else did – even when we did not believe in ourselves. One songwriter said, “Don’t give up on God for He won’t give up on you.”
