Yesterday I returned from visiting Turkey and I want to pause and thank God for "traveling mercy" for me and those who traveled with me.

Ezra 3: 11 NKJV

And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: "For He is good, for His mercy endures forever toward Israel." Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

As we have read in other passages, God's people believed in praising Him for His mercy. However, here in Ezra 3 we see they made it a more personal. They said, "...His mercy endures forever toward Israel." All of us should praise God for His mercy in general because we are glad to see what it does for humanity. However, sometimes we need to get personal and thank Him for His mercy for us as individuals. We must never forget that we are alive and enjoy divine blessings because of His mercy. Amen.
