Candy, Thanks for sending the message to remind me that you look forward to the "Throne Room." So many things have happened since I posted last but by God's grace I'm back now.

Colossians 3:1 NKJV

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

What does it mean that we were raised with Christ? We must go to the unseen realm to understand. Paul wrote in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” He reveals that when we were baptized, our going under the water was symbolic of our burying our old selves, and coming out of the water symbolized our being raised to a new life in Christ. We identify with Christ in His death (when the old man dies and we are born again), burial (when we put away the old life), and His resurrection (when we arise to a new life). We have to accept all this by faith. It is not something we can realize by our natural senses. So when Paul says, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above” we must accept that spiritually. We must use our spiritual imagination and see ourselves seated with Christ at the right hand of God. Then we must ponder what kind of things are “above” so we can seek or pursue them. One example of a revelation of what is ”above” can be found in James 3. Verses 13-18 explains how we can tell where the “wisdom” we are operating in is from above or of the devil. The things that are above can be found in God’s Word. So, let us read and be doers of the Word. That is one way we seek those things that are above.
