DAILY DEVOTIONAL | February 18th

We serve a God who desires to perfect those areas that concern us (Psalm 138:8); and as a result, God - our Father - gives instruction and sometimes even discipline to us because of His love for us. Like any good Father, it’s His desire for us to grow and get better so that we can serve and better represent “the family”. ⁣ ⁣

Never fret, get dismayed or annoyed at His instruction. One of the worse things in life is for one to go through life thinking you are wise or intelligent, but to viewed any others as foolish. Humility is one of our greatest assets. On God’s part, His “instruction” is a sign of His love, and we should never grow weary of it. We should be honored to learn and receive it [God’s instruction]. SELAH and be sure to give God thanks for His unconditional love for you.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | February 4th

Nehemiah and his men were busy at work rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem to protect it against their enemies. In the process, regular troublemakers Sanballat, Tobiah and their gang showed up trying to distract them from their assignment. Oftentimes, it’s this way in our daily lives. God may reveal your purpose to you and even give you instructions to fulfill the vision that He’s assigned you to be busy on [whether it appears to be on a large or small scale].

⁣ ⁣

However, oftentimes you may find that the enemy will try to send distractions your way to get you off course or to cause you to abandon the vision all together. Don’t quit or lose focus though; the Greater One lives inside of you. Commit today to have razor focus on what God has assigned to you. Take on the same attitude that Nehemiah and his men had: “why should the work stop while I leave to come down to meet you?” Don’t come down to the enemies level or allow him to waste your time or energy. The work that God has called you to is much too important. Stay focused on what He has called you to and keep your spirit man built up throughout the day. You’ve got this with His help!⁣ ⁣

Those who put their trust in the Lord can depend on Him for security, protection and peace of mind. He desires to cover you from hurt and harm both physically, spiritually and even emotionally, if needed. In the midst of any tough situations or your enemies, it’s a miraculous thing to know that because you have sought safe shelter in your Father inwardly, you can always stand confidently outwardly. ⁣ ⁣⁣

🤲 Your life is in His hands. So trust that those same capable hands will guide you where you need to go. They will provide you with whatever He has called you to (Philippians 4:19). He is faithful, and He’s got you!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

On this day that we celebrate those who are fathers, we also are grateful for those who truly do strive to encourage, comfort and lead their offspring towards the Kingdom of God. Even more comforting is the fact that if we have accepted Christ into our lives, we are privy to a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father, and He is a GREAT Father! It is always His heart to provide all that His children need - spiritually, physically, financially and emotionally (Philippians 4:19); and He know what we need before we ask.

⁣

Whether you’ve been blessed to have an earthly father in your life or not, be comforted with the fact that not only is He Father to the fatherless, but His love for you is authentic and it runs deep. He truly does desire the absolute best for you, and to comfort, encourage and lead your life, so let Him! ⁣⁣

May God continue to bless those of you fathers that have endeavored to be a blessing, encourage and offer godly inspiration in your children’s lives. May He continue to give you wisdom and favor in all that you put your hands to. #HappyFathersDay⁣⁣⁣⁣
