When our focus is on representing our Heavenly Father well here on earth, then we will do our best to ensure that our “good name” is intact. How else can we properly represent One so powerful, faithful and worthy of all of our praises? Ironically, when we have a good name or reputation - be it on the job, with a lender or within your respective communities, you are looked upon more favorably and better opportunities will come your way. Oftentimes, the monetary amount of what is saved or given to you when you have the favor of God is on your life is of greater value to you in the end.
🙏 God, please give us the wisdom, strength and direction to represent you properly in our behavior, deeds and thoughts. Thank you for the favor that you have given us so freely and surrounded us with (Psalm 5:2). We are forever grateful for your love for us.

🙌 As believers in Christ, we have received a new identity, but have you truly embraced that identity? We belong to God, and our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20). Our conversation, values and ways of doing things may appear to be foreign to this world the more we become like Christ and the fruits of the Spirit manifest themselves in our lives.
Rejoice today that your identity is in Christ: you are redeemed from the curse of the law (Gal.3:13)! You are the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21), you are THE healed (1 Peter 2:24), accepted (Ephesians 1:6), you have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5-8) and so much more! Meditate on who and Whose you are and your confidence on the authority that you have IN Christ will grow.

God loves us so much that He desires for us to grow and mature in our understanding and application of His Word and precepts. We don’t have to be manipulated by the enemy or by any inaccurate doctrine of the Bible that we may find ourselves presented with. God gives us discernment and with the direction also of the Holy Spirit, our feet can remain firmly planted on Him - the Rock (Psalm 62:2). In fact our daily conversations and lifestyle should reflect this maturation as we make strides daily to mimic Christ. He is a GREAT Father, and His loving correction is given "in love". He will guide us every step of the way. Trust His leading and the authenticity of His love and desire our growth in our daily walk as believers together.

There’s no need -EVER - to be on the defensive, to wallow in bitterness, strife or anger OR to worry when we’ve got the Lord of Hosts on our side. Let God work out THE situation, whatever it is, and allow God’s peace to soothe your mind, heart and emotions. You are in the Army of the Lord, but the battle that we are in is not physical, but spiritual. So stay focused on the assignment that what God has called you to, remember the REAL enemy and make sure that you are dressed for battle at all times (Ephesians 6:10-18). Keep your peace and smile. The Lord fights for US! 🙌

🙌 If God said it, that settles it. You can take His Word to the bank because He cannot and will not lie or deceive you (Numbers 23:19). Oftentimes, because we live in a physical world, the natural response, as to whether God can “bring us out” of a situation is subconsciously weighed in with whether or not someone else (a physical being or human) can “come through” for us. However, it’s important as children of God and ambassadors of Christ, that we make a habit to first go to our Father God, seek and obey His direction and instructions and then place our faith in Him and in the fact that He fights for us.
Regardless of what the circumstances looks like and what man has said or done, why should we waste time and energy exalting the opinions of humans who are as frail as breath, when we serve the the Most High God & Creator of the universe?! He will fulfill every promise that He has given to you. So, give honor and praise to Him in advance for what He will do on your behalf. He is faithful, and He will not let you down. REST in Him and have a blessed day!

God’s hand is not short (Isaiah 59:1). He hears your cry and/or petitions, even if they are rooted out of a deep desire for personal growth and for Him to perfect those areas that concern you (Psalm 138:8). Whether you are in need of physical, spiritual or emotional strength, He can and will provide if you go to Him with expectancy.
🙌 God will give you the strength to not only make through today but to thrive while you’re doing. We thank Him for His love and faithfulness to us. He is worthy!

📖 A person’s name revealed both the character and/or affiliations an individual had. When God called Abram and made a covenant with Him revealing that He would be the Father of many nations, his name was changed from Abram to Abraham. He stepped into God’s plan and purpose for His life, but His name was changed prior to it even being brought into fruition. In the same sense, we can look at the many names of God (i.e. Jehovah Jireh - our provider, Jehovah Nissi - our Healer). His name(s) reveal His nature, power, and character (goodness, mercy, power, faithfulness, just for starters) to the world. Place your trust and confidence in His name. Remind yourself today of all that His name reveals about Who He is to you. He won’t fail you.

🙏 When we stay connected to God, following and remaining committed to Christ, we experience receive rest for our souls. While Jesus could have been boastful and harsh because of all His mighty exploits, He chose instead to walk in humility and to deal gently with our hearts. As believers or followers of Christ, we should not only be concerned about sharing the Gospel, but we should have a desire to emulate His character and to honor Him in all we do. God will renew and refresh our souls, if we’ll allow Him to transform us from the inside out and provide us with with the peace that only He can provide. Rest IN Him.

Go to God (vs.6) and accept HIS peace - which passes ALL understanding (doesn’t make sense to the human mind!) today. Let it [His peace] stand guard to the door of your heart and mind against worry, doubts, anxiety, fear, hate, malice, bitterness and anything else that opposes the nature of God or the fruits of the Spirit from operating in your life.
Keep your stayed (focused) on Him and have a blessed day today. #HappyMonday #vcccharlotte #peaceofGod #tranquility #peaceofmnd

🙌 Regardless of what you’re facing, you will always come out on top with God on your side. Practice walking in obedience to whatever God has instructed you (or given you wisdom) to do, even in the areas that appear to be small.
Tap into your power source today. You can do that by praying in tongues and by remembering that God will supply you with any and everything that you need to accomplish His purpose: internal or external strength, peace, wisdom and more! Leave any burdens you may have with God, He handle them; just never forget that your sufficiency doesn’t lie in your intellect, your connections or your bank account. You have all that you need in Christ alone.

🤔 What is consuming your thought life and would be God be pleased by it? Thoughts are one of the things that we can hide from others, but they eventually reveal themselves because our thoughts will eventually influence and impact our actions. There’s a reason that God tells us to meditate - to center our minds - on things that are pure, wholesome, confirmed by His Word and honorable; He cares about what is on our hearts and our minds even when others are not aware (1 Samuel 16:7).
If you’re struggling with anger, impure thoughts, doubt or even trusting God and building your faith, take a look at what you’ve allowed to “center your mind”. Even strengthening our relationship with God - just like any other relationship - demands devoting time to it and studying His Word. Think on those things that honor God and ask for His help to stay focus on those things. He is not only willing, but He desires to help you (Psalm 46:1).

Never lose sight of the fact that you serve a living, active and powerful God! In the world of science, there are basically two different energies that we read about:
1) Potential (stored) energy
-AND-
2) Kinetic (active, moving) energy
The words that God speaks to our spirit are infused with ⚡️kinetic energy - life and power . When we fuse our faith with God’s Word and words, putting our trust in Him alone, the potential energy that exists inside of each of us is activated and converted to kinetic energy. It has the power to give revelation, to expose the intents and thoughts of others and ourselves. So stay alert, keep your heart clean and your faith active. God has GREAT things in store for your life, and it’s an honor to serve Him.
(It’s #tbt AND #ThankfulThursday ! Have you thanked God for his goodness, love or patience towards you in the past?)

🙌 No matter our accomplishments or past failures, we must never lose site of the fact that we were bought with a price, and we DO NOT belong to ourselves, if we are children of God.
That means that everything that belongs to us - OUR will, OUR dreams, OUR vision, OUR plans should always align with the One Who holds ownership of our body. As long as we have breath in our bodies, we have the unique privilege of being the holy dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Yet, we are not the land “lords” because unlike the earthly landlords, we may be accustomed to, this omnipotent Tenant has Lord-ship over our lives and over the very earth that our temple treads. He is omniscient, and He runs the show; yet His very name and presence exudes love and grace. Regardless of what is on your schedule for today or what you may be facing, never forget that the Greater One abides inside of you, and you are more than equipped for the task. Rest IN Him and check in with Him throughout the day for wisdom and instructions. After all, He’s not too far away…He’s right inside [of you]. 😉

The more we grow and mature in our relationship with God, the more we are able to reject carnality. In order for us to walk harmoniously with God and reject our carnal nature, we have to ensure that the fruits of the spirit are actively “growing” inside of us. The “fruit” will be visible to those around us; and as representatives of Christ, it’s important that others know us by our fruit, especially love (John 13:35). Ask God for His help in making sure that you are providing the best “environment” for your fruit to be harvested in. Sometimes, that simply means being aware of what we are exposing our spirit man to (entertainment, unfruitful conversations, associations, etc.). So stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit. The maturation and condition of your fruit depends on it.

🙌 It’s God’s desire that we not only trust Him but confidently rest in Him. When we do, we have God’s promise to have his “unbothered”, perfect peace (John 14:27). Redirect your thoughts, if need be, to focus on God’s love for you and on things that are true, honest, just, pure and lovely (Philippians 4:8). Allow God to mold your character and will into one that pleases and represents His kingdom accurately. We can expect God to intervene in our lives and to do great things, so rest and take refuge in Him. HIDE and take shelter IN Him, knowing that when you do, you can STAND boldly and confidently, knowing that He’s got your back.

☀️ Good morning new mercies! God has has blessed you with an entirely new set of them today. Yes…He is faithful and because of His faithfulness, we can be faith FULL; we can put our hope in Him. He is dependable and consistent, and His heart towards us is compassionate. So never tire seeking God’s direction and/or walking in His purpose for your life. If you’ve missed the mark, His grace is sufficient; if you’ve hit it, it’s still only because of His grace.
#dailydevotional #grace #mercy #vcccharlotte
🙌 We serve a God who desires to perfect those areas that concern us (Psalm 138:8); and as a result, God - our Father - gives instruction and sometimes even discipline to us because of His love for us. Like any good Father, it’s His desire to grow and get better so that we can serve better as His representatives.
So never fret, get dismayed or annoyed at His instruction. One of the worse things in life is for one to go through life thinking you are wise or intelligent, but to viewed any others as foolish. Humility is one of our greatest assets. On God’s part, His “instruction” is a sign of His love. It should ignite an appreciation in our hearts. We should be honored to learn and receive it [God’s instruction]. SELAH and be sure to give God thanks for His unconditional love for you.

🙌 When the pressures of this world seem to be blowing in our direction , we have only to lean on God - our IMMOVABLE Rock. He steadies our footing and makes our way clear (Psalm 143:10) because He loves us and cares about our well-being and safety. In a spirit of gratitude for that love, we should honor Him through our words and deeds. He is a Holy and righteous God, and He cares about what we spend time meditating on (Philippians 4:8). May our thoughts reflect our respect and appreciation for His love, holiness and the sacrifice He made for us through His Son Jesus. Selah.
