DAILY DEVOTIONAL | July 20th

Prayer is the privilege that we have as believers to go to our Heavenly Father - the Creator of the universe - and have a conversation with Him. It’s an opportunity to bring our petitions and every circumstances in life to to God and to see how in reality when we match them up to our omnipotent, holy, merciful God how petty our problems are in comparison to Him. It’s our chance to show our gratitude for all that He has done and to walk in faith by thanking Him in advance for what He will do in our future. Have you taken advantage of this “benefit” of your personal relationship with God today? If not, come to Him boldly and with expectancy. He is more than able to fulfill everything that He desires in your life, so put all of your confidence in Him, seek His wisdom, accept His peace and…REST.

🤔 Regardless of whether you felt a little anxious or even weak this morning, there’s no need to stay that way. Cast all your cares on God; He is more than capable of handling them! God freely gives His children joy and in that joy they find the strength to face any situation. ⁣

On top of that, peace is another one of the benefits of being in the family of God (Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27), so be encouraged and take advantage of what He willingly has made available to you. Walk in His peace today and trust that He will give you strength every step of the way. He is all you need. Have a blessed day!⁣

Just a gentle reminder this morning that the very same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you! You are courageous and bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1) . And with that very spirit of power, you are to resist any attacks of the enemy on your life. Keep your mind stayed on God (Isaiah 26:3), and your Heavenly Father will keep your mind calm and balanced so that you are able to make wise decisions and exercise self-discipline. He gives perfect peace (John 14:27). You can fearlessly step out and obey whatever instructions God has given you because whatever He has called you to, He will also make provision for. Rest confidently in Him today.

🤔 Have you forgotten that God has literally given you all that you need to live your life victoriously? The more time we spend “at His feet” and meditating on His Word, we get to know Him better thus making it easier to conform to His ways. He sent His Son Jesus so that you could be reconciled with Him, delivered and set free from any sickness, disease, bondage or baggage.

⁣

He’s made you MORE than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). He is your protection and covering, so you have nothing to fear (Psalm 91:4). If you need wisdom and direction, you have access to the Holy Spirit - your Helper - and you only have to ask Him (James 1:5). In and through the mighty power of God, you will find the strength you need to fulfill every task before you today (Ephesians 6:10, Philippians 4:13)! So hold your head up and walk humbly and confidently in the divine power that God has been given you!⁣

Regardless of how intellectually esteemed we or others may deem ourselves to be, it’s imperative for the believer to be totally dependent on the wisdom of God. To put confidence in anything else would be foolish, and the rotten fruits of that poor decision-making and pride will eventually bear witness in our lives.

The Word of God always encourages us to trust God and not to lean to our own understanding, regardless of how knowledgeable we may think we are in the process of our decision-making (Proverbs 3:5-6). God desires to give us “skillful and godly wisdom” - insight that we may not have been privy to otherwise. So, stay connected into your Spiritual Headquarters by praying in the Spirit. It’s your Father’s desire to give you direction and guidance for your life as you seek His will for your life. God’s got your back; put your confidence in Him. Have a blessed Monday!

When we walk in humility and cast down our cares, pride, anxieties, and worries and lay them at the feet of Jesus, not only do we better position ourselves for our Father to watch and protect us, but He also desires to honor us as we serve and represent His Kingdom. ⁣

Besides, if we were really equipped to carry all of the load ourselves, we wouldn’t be encouraged time and time again in God’s Word to give them to God. Trust that God knows best for your life and stay connected to Him for the direction so that He can lead you. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you

When we ask wisdom of God (James 1:5), we can rest assured that it will also be apparent in our character. It will lead us to seek peace and to show mercy. Wherever God leads us there will be no hypocrisy or partiality - it’s pure, holy and just! When we stir up the gift inside of us, we provide the proper environment for the Holy Spirit to guide us and lead every area of our lives supernaturally. We are privy to information that mere knowledge wouldn’t have been able to reveal to us. Trust God’s plan for your life and that He will supply and provide for you for wherever He leads you.

Gratitude? Thankfulness? What do those terms really mean? Thanksgiving is defined as: a public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness; the act of giving thanks; a prayer expressing gratitude. Thanksgiving is an action; it’s recognizing the many reasons we have to be grateful. For the believer, it should be a daily mindset. ⁣

We have so much to be grateful for: love, joy, peace, favor and more importantly, we have the promise of eternal salvation. If nothing else, you have a reason to be eternally grateful and to show God by honoring, sharing His love and properly representing Him everyday. We love you and thank God for you today. ⁣

What a great privilege we have to approach the throne of our Heavenly Father! It’s only by His grace. Grace refers to one receiving something that is undeserved, and the greatest example of this undeserved mercy is the free gift of salvation we have in Jesus Christ. Aren’t you glad that it doesn’t stop there?

God loves us unconditionally, and though there is nothing we can do to qualify ourselves for that privilege, it is His desire that we come to Him to lay our burdens down at His feet and humbly seek His wisdom and guidance for our lives. At that throne [of grace], He gives us timely blessings and provision for laying down our will and desires and picking up His. So reject anything (emotion, thought or person) who seeks to hinder or discourage you from coming to your Father! Your victory is in your prayer, praise and obedience to God. So go to Him boldly and with expectancy. He loves you, and He’s waiting.

Salvation and our relationship with Christ, as a whole, should not be a stagnant one. Continue to grow, learn and study the things of God, so that you develop spiritually everyday. Pray in tongues regularly so that the Holy Spirit - your Teacher - can instruct you and give wisdom and guidance where needed. What a merciful Father we serve! He wasn’t just interested in “saving” us, but after He did, He cared enough for us to perfect those things that concern us and use us for His will (Psalm 138:8)!⁣⁣

🙌God please continue to work in and through us for your good pleasure and purpose. Thank you for the pleasure and privilege of being fit for your use, in Jesus’ name, Amen. ⁣

Rejoice! Not only does the Lord give us strength, but it’s His desire to put a new song in our mouths (Psalm 40:3). Stir up the gift inside of you and receive God’s wisdom, direction and song of gladness. The Lord is a shield of protection around you both physically and spiritually. So, be sure to give Him thanks and praises for His grace and love for you today. Regardless of the circumstance - GOOD or BAD - there is power in our praise. We serve a faithful God, and He holds all power in His hands. He is definitely worthy of our praise, and when we exalt God, we put Him in the proper perspective - above and greater than the circumstance. On top of all that, because He’s a Good Father, He also graces us with favor. So praise through it! He’s more than able to bring you through.

It’s imperative that we, as believers, renew our minds daily because if/when we don’t, we are more susceptible to our flesh and secular entities influencing how we behave, what we think and how we speak rather than the Word and spirit of God. We are encouraged in God’s Word to be slow to speak and swift to hear when engaging with others. This alone will help us to give a “soft” answer and seek the wisdom of God before opening our mouths (Psalm 141:3, James 1:19).

🙏 God help us to be vessels of Your peace. Guard the doors of our mouth and give us wisdom on how to answer every man so that we can be better ambassadors for your Kingdom…in Jesus’s name, Amen.

As our country celebrates its independence, don’t lose sight of the freedom that we [as believers] have in Christ. We have been redeemed from the curse of the law, and it’s our Father’s desire for us to no longer be bound by shackles of sin. We are not bound to our past or present circumstance. In fact, we can truly do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13) and because of that independence from our sin nature (in salvation - John 3:16). Trust His plans for your life are good (Jeremiah 29:11); so, walk boldly and humbly in your freedom in Christ! ⁣

🤔 The more we develop in our relationship with God and reject carnality, the more we will be spirit-led. The more time we spend in His presence and His Word, the easier it will be to view things from a godly perspective because God transforms us into a new person by adjusting the way we think. When our minds are renewed, we better position ourselves to receive insight from God on how to fulfill His will and what His purpose is for our lives. Even though we may have our own plans that we want to accomplish, when we renew our minds, we have to make the decision to surrender our will and desires to Him EVERY TIME knowing that He loves us, knows and wants what’s best for our lives (Proverbs 20:5, Jeremiah 29:11).⁣

🙏 God, elevate my way of thinking. Make your heart my heart. Make those things that are a priority to you become my priorities. You created me and are aware of your purpose for my life and the gifts and talents you entrusted me with, in the process. Therefore, I will submit my plans and my mindset to you. Show me my heart and any areas where I may have unintentionally adopted a carnal way of doing or viewing things. Create in me a clean heart (Psalm 51:10, Proverbs 3:6, Psalm 37:23) and direct my footsteps God. I trust you and your plans for my life.⁣

GREAT is God’s love for us! Like the vast ocean, His love is overflowing and knows no boundaries or restrictions. Regardless of our past or present circumstances, His love is truly “unbothered” or unconcerned by them. His mercies are new EVERY morning, and He is faithful to us because of His love. ⁣⁣

No matter how “windy” the situation may seem, He is well able to anchor your soul and calm your circumstance. Keep your mind on Him and let Him anchor your soul. Rest and abide in His peace that passes all understanding (not logical by man’s standards). Accept and embrace God’s love for you today. 💗⁣⁣⁣⁣

🤔 The more we allow our hearts (convictions, priorities, etc) to mirror God’s, the more we become like Him; and the more we become like our Father, the more our faith is developed. Just as with any earthly relationship, the more time you spend with a person, the easier it is to trust them and “have faith” in them and their character. God’s given all of us a “measure of faith (Romans 12:3) and that faith is strengthened when we trust and rely in God and invest in our relationship with Him. In fact, it’s literally the only way to bring God pleasure. Seek Him diligently just as you would if you’d lost something of value to you. God will honor your heart and reward you and your faith in Him will grow even stronger. He is faith-full and proven 💯. You can firmly put ALL your confidence and trust in Him.
