🙌 God wants to lead your life, and one of the ways we allow Him to do just that is to entrust our mind and emotions do Him as well by letting Him take the lead in every area of our lives.⁣

Praying in tongues helps to provide the atmosphere for God to speak wisdom to our spirits and give us insight  before we open our mouths. In doing so, it may also save us embarrassment, time and resources. Remember to thank God for His love, faithfulness and for putting a watch over our mouths today (Psalm 141:3). He is faithful! He is God all by Himself - the First and the Last, All Powerful, All Knowing, Consistent, Merciful, Loving, Healing, Compassionate, Righteous, Holy, and Magnificent God - and He cannot deny it! No matter what we face - success or failure - we can always depend on our Heavenly Father. He is our life source, so stay connected to Him. There is power in the name of Jesus and neither He or His enemies can deny it. Trust and obey His Word and follow His promptings. He won’t fail you, and He’ll never lead you astray. ⁣ ⁣⁣

🙌 If we have accepted Christ in our heart, then we are God’s CHILDREN and therefore, His responsibility. He doesn’t want us to waste time being anxious over the cares of this world. Our attitude and character should mirror our Fathers. So “seek” after the Kingdom of God and His ways, and He’ll provide (Philippians 4:19). Come against worry and fear in the name of Jesus! You are His hands and feet [on earth] and when you busy yourself with His business (Kingdom business), He’ll take care of yours. Release it to God and REST in Him.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | July 1st

🛡Christianity is often compared to battle or combat. Perhaps that’s because spiritual warfare has so many similarities to physical warfare. Furthermore, Jesus alluded to this by referencing our “overcoming” the world (John 16:33). If you have been born again, then through your faith in God and Jesus's victory on the cross, you’ve overcome this world! Don’t forget to take a minute to reflect in the mirror of the Word to ensure that you are dressed for battle this morning with all your spiritual armor intact: the breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, etc. (Ephesians 6:10-18). ⁣

In addition, we are encouraged in Ephesians 6:18 to pray in tongues throughout the day and to be alert - we’re at war! However, there’s no need to be fearful or anxious. God is with you, and you have already overcome every challenge that may come your way - known or unknown. We have the victory! #IAMVICTORY⁣

If we are “followers” or “imitators” of Christ, then our hearts should mirror the nature of Christ. In fact, God has called “our bluff” when that is not the case. His Word reminds us that we never did know God if we cannot walk in love with our brothers and sisters. One passage of scripture even tell us that if we say that we love God, who we haven’t seen but work contentiously against our brother or sister, who we see on a regular basis, then we are liars (v. 20).⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Good or bad, it’s always a heart issue at the core. So examine yours daily and ask God to make you more like Him. He can give you a new heart (Psalm 51:10) and fill it with His love (nature). ⁣⁣ ⁣

🏃‍♀️ 🏃🏾‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃 We can run to God for protection when we have need. A shield is strong and impenetrable and so is our Heavenly Father. He will protect you from any danger seen or unseen. He will keep you from the wiles of the enemy. Accept His peace today, knowing that there is safety in His arms. Regardless of any circumstance that you may be experiencing today, He is more than able to keep you from any harm, and the peace (John 14:27) that He also provides in the process is unbothered by the “storms” of life. So rest. He loves you! ⁣ ⁣

Love truly does cover all (1 Peter 4:8). So, put on love “as a cloak: this morning. Our Heavenly Father truly is love, and His love bonds things together in harmony. So, regardless of what you’re going through, just imagine His arms holding you and strengthening you today. Let His joy be your strength. Our love walk is one of the distinguishing factors of Christianity. In fact, God’s Word reveals to us that if we aren’t walking in love with others, then we aren’t truly familiar with God or His ways. It’s important that we ask God for help in this area so that we can become more like Him and so we can properly represent Him on earth. When we walk in love and in obedience, we also properly position ourselves for God to move on our behalf. He will give you the help you need and create a new heart inside of you (Psalm 51:10).
