We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, and part of the benefits of that relationship - besides our salvation - are the fruits of the spirit and the “unexplainable”peace that we have with God. Don’t forget that it is God’s desire that we don’t exhaust our strength trying to make provision for the temporal things in this world. Instead, it’s His desire to turn our hearts and affections towards Heaven and the things that are really at the core of our Father’s heart (love, joy, peace, a desire for all men to be saved). The treasures that we have in store are invaluable and in no way comparable to any earthly one. Rejoice and find peace in that today as you start this new week.

👀 As we see the day of our Lord’s return approaching, it’s important that we keep our eyes and hearts fixed and focused on our Heavenly Father and the Kingdom of God. We have the promise of God’s PERFECT peace in the face of any circumstance that we may face when are walking in God’s will for our lives. Our identity is IN Christ (1 Peter 2:9, Philippians 3:20, 2 Corinthians 5:17), and just as He has overcome the world, so have we! Just as He is victorious, so are we! The joy of the Lord is YOUR strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and it's by that strength, you are able to accomplish every task before you.

🛡Christianity is often compared to battle or combat. Perhaps that’s because spiritual warfare has so many similarities to physical warfare. Furthermore, Jesus alluded to this by referencing our “overcoming” the world (John 16:33). If you have been born again, then through your faith in God and Jesus's victory on the cross, you’ve overcome this world! Don’t forget to take a minute to reflect in the mirror of the Word to ensure that you are dressed for battle this morning with all your spiritual armor intact: the breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, etc. (Ephesians 6:10-18).
In addition, we are encouraged in Ephesians 6:18 to pray in tongues throughout the day and to be alert - we’re at war! However, there’s no need to be fearful or anxious. God is with you, and you have already overcome every challenge that may come your way - known or unknown. We have the victory! #IAMVICTORY

If we are “followers” or “imitators” of Christ, then our hearts should mirror the nature of Christ. In fact, God has called “our bluff” when that is not the case. His Word reminds us that we never did know God if we cannot walk in love with our brothers and sisters. One passage of scripture even tell us that if we say that we love God, who we haven’t seen but work contentiously against our brother or sister, who we see on a regular basis, then we are liars (v. 20).
Good or bad, it’s always a heart issue at the core. So examine yours daily and ask God to make you more like Him. He can give you a new heart (Psalm 51:10) and fill it with His love (nature).

Love truly does cover all (1 Peter 4:8). So, put on love “as a cloak: this morning. Our Heavenly Father truly is love, and His love bonds things together in harmony.
