🙌🏼 We were created by God for His glory, and yet in still, He loved us so much that He gave His all for us (John 3:16)! So, it’s only reasonable for us to love Him with everything that is in us. When we place and keep God at the throne of our hearts, we position ourselves for Him to move on our behalf, to direct the affairs of our lives, to give us wisdom, strength, favor and His peace. Our citizenship is in Heaven, and so is our award when we faithfully serve Jesus. Never forget that God can and will give you divine insight and guidance on how to accomplish a task more efficiently and effectively. He will give you the right words to say (Proverbs 25:11) for any given situation AND give you favor when and where you need it. So, don’t lose sight of Who you represent. Our Heavenly Father is faithful and all-powerful! He’s the Alpha and the Omega and ultimately, the buck stops with Him. As His child, you have NoThing and NO one to fear (Psalm 118:6) when you follow and obey His leading! Trust what He has told you. “Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). TRUST HIM! He will ‘make it good’. ⁣

😌 Even when we feel that we are confident in the path and purpose that we are walking in, it’s imperative that we take the time daily to check in with our Heavenly Father - the developer of that purpose - to ensure that our steps are still aligned. 📖 We are reminded in God’s Word to continue to place our confidence in God instead of our intelligence or experience. So trust in God’s plans for your life both in your day-to-day and long term interactions and planning. God is faithful, and He will establish and make sure His plans for your life. ⁣

“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” -John 1:14⁣ ⁣⁣

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, let us never forget the extensiveness of His love and faithfulness to us. Before we even knew the true state of our sinfulness in comparison to the holiness of our Creator, He counted us worthy and valuable enough to develop a plan to save us from our sins thousands of years ago, even before the birth of Christ through his prophet Isaiah. ⁣⁣

🙌 Praise and glory to God for His sending His Son Jesus to earth, so that we can be saved (John 3:16). Take time today to reflect on His love for you and what sacrifice that love moved Him to. Honor Him as His representative by sharing about His love and sacrifice with others. Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 16th

If we are “followers” or “imitators” of Christ, then our hearts should mirror the nature of Christ. In fact, God has called “our bluff” when that is not the case. His Word reminds us that we never did know God if we cannot walk in love with our brothers and sisters. One passage of scripture even tell us that if we say that we love God, who we haven’t seen but work contentiously against our brother or sister, who we see on a regular basis, then we are liars (v. 20).⁣⁣

It’s always a heart issue at the core, so examine yours daily and ask God to make you more like Him. He can give you a new heart (Psalm 51:10) and fill it with His love (nature). ⁣⁣

🙌 Our Heavenly Father desires for our relationship with Him to not be a stagnant. Nope. He desires for your relationship with Him to be organic. It’s His heart that we are constantly growing, strengthening and reaffirming our faith and confidence in Him, knowing that He’ll never fail us. In essence, our goals, dreams and desires should be so deeply intertwined with His plans for our lives that it becomes second nature to consult with Him to make sure they stay aligned. 

The more we trust and obey Him and that we see Him prove Himself time and time again, the more our faith is strengthened. Start your day off thanking Him for His faithfulness to you AND exercising your faith so that I can be strengthened.

🙌 God desires to heal us and make us whole, inside and out; but because He genuinely loves us, He also just wants us to simply trust Him. When we put our faith and confidence in His direction for our lives and what He has said and thinks about us, He can dwell in our hearts and use us for His glory. What an honor it is to be “used” by Him and at His bidding (2 Corinthians 5:20). Soak up His love for you by resting IN Him, meditating on His love letter to you (the Word of God) and keeping your sensitive to His instructions throughout the day (by praying in tongues).⁣⁣
