If we are “followers” or “imitators” of Christ, then our hearts should mirror the nature of Christ. His Word reminds us that if we cannot walk in love with our brothers and sisters then we’ve never known God. At the core, It’s always a heart issue, so examine yours daily and ask God to make you more like Him. He can give you a new heart (Psalm 51:10) and fill it with His love (nature). ⁣⁣

When we walk in humility and cast aside any cares, pride or anxieties that we may have at the feet of Jesus, we position ourselves for our Heavenly Father to watch and protect us. In fact, it’s His desire to honor us as we serve and represent His Kingdom. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 

If we were equipped to carry all of the “load” ourselves, we wouldn’t be encouraged time and time again in God’s Word to give them to God. God knows best for your life so stay connected to Him for wisdom and direction as you allow Him to lead your life. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you⁣.⁣ ⁣ ⁣

As believers, we experience a degree of freedom that is foreign to those who do not have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. We have been redeemed from the curse of the law, and it’s our Father’s desire for us to no longer be bound by shackles of sin. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣We are not bound to our past or present circumstance. We can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13) and because of that independence from our sin nature (in salvation - John 3:16). Unlike the average hiker (man or woman), our Heavenly Father has the ability to lead us and hold us up. With a steady arm, He firmly navigates us through any difficulties during this hike that we call Life. He can also handle carrying any burdens, concerns or anxieties that we may have. In fact, they’re just no match for Him! So, just release them to Him this morning. You’re free in Christ (John 8:36).

God desires to perfect those areas that concern us (Psalm 138:8); and as a result, our Heavenly Father gives instruction and sometimes even discipline to us because of His love for us. Like any good Father, it’s His desire for us to “grow more like Him” so that we can serve and better represent “the family”. ⁣

Never fret, get dismayed or annoyed at His instruction. One of the worse things in life is for one to go through life thinking they are wise or intelligent, but to viewed by others as foolish. Humility to receive direction is one of our greatest assets. On God’s part, His “instruction” is a sign of His love, and we should never grow weary of it. Never take for granted the fact that God’s plans and purpose for your life were preordained for your life before you were even formed in your mother’s womb.

Your gifts, talents and all of the days of your life were thought out and outlined. So, it only makes sense to consult with the One who thought you valuable enough, not only to give His all for you (John 3:16), but to map out your purpose. He will order your steps and lead you on that path if you put your confidence in Him, being careful to keep your spirit man built up so that you hear and obey His voice. Check in with the One with the ‘Master Plan’ for your life. He never tires of hearing from you…in fact, He’s waiting!⁣⁣

The apostle Paul came to a revelation that God desired to use his weaknesses and hardships to demonstrate His power. We also must stay mindful of the fact that God has a greater purpose for our weaknesses as well. There are no weaknesses, past failures or any idiosyncrasy in the eyes of man that are a match for the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18). ⁣

So, if you’ve received instruction from God and have been led to move in a certain direction but haven’t yet, don’t falter any longer! Not only is His strength made perfect in our weakness, but He honors our obedience. He is pleased when we step out and trust Him even when circumstances are beyond our control, and we don’t quite understand how things will work out (Hebrews 11:6). Put and KEEP your confidence in Him today. Be blessed!

Oftentimes, the path that we are on in life has already been “straightened” for us without us even being aware - that’s the kind of good Father we serve. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

He’ll cut down a mountain, smooth out rough ground or even send people on our behalf to get us through, and the world will have to sit back and take notice at the way He does it. He will always get the glory. We have access to the Holy Spirit, and He’s our Guide. He desires to order your steps and direct your life (Psalm 37:23), so let Him! ⁣⁣⁣

Through the power of the blood of Jesus, we have gained access to come boldly to our Heavenly Father. He hears your cry and your concerns. He knows your desire for wisdom and discernment, and He will answer you. Don’t allow doubt to find its home in your heart. God loved us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die for our sin. He took the penalty that we had ‘justly’ placed on us because of the sin nature of mankind. So, if you’ve been abandoned, unworthy, lacking courage, fearful, let this be a reminder of the substitute that Jesus became just for you! He took our sentence, and we have been redeemed (Ephesians 1:7)! 

Not only are you no longer bound by sin (Romans 4:16), but you are victorious and more than a conqueror. You’ve been set apart and marked as His child. You no longer are defined by your previous identity BC (before Christ). You are kings/priests and have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). You have been blessed with the opportunity to be Christ’s ambassadors, so rejoice! Let your actions and attitude reflect your awareness of His love for you. You are loved!⁣
