Our relationship with Christ after salvation should not be a stagnant one. Continue to grow, learn and study the things of God, so that you develop spiritually everyday. Pray in tongues regularly so that the Holy Spirit - your Teacher - can instruct you and give wisdom and guidance where needed. What a merciful Father we serve! He wasn’t just interested in “saving” us, but after He did, He cared enough for us to perfect those things that concern us and use us for His will (Psalm 138:8)!⁣ He will guide your footsteps and provide insight where you need it.⁣

⁣ 🙌 God please continue to work in and through us for your good pleasure and purpose. Thank you for the privilege of being set apart for your use, in Jesus’ name, Amen. ⁣

🙌 Be glorified God—You are worthy! 

Our great God is worthy to be glorified. There is no man or other deity that can be compared to Him. He is the one and only LIVING God. He is King of all kings and Lord of all lords.  His works are marvelous and His mercies are new EVERY morning. We are blessed to have the opportunity to sing His praises this morning, so don’t miss out. The Creator of the universe loves us and calls us His own. Now, that’s something to be grateful for, so rejoice and selah on that this morning!

Don’t forget that if you have a relationship with the Creator and Jesus is your Lord, then the Spirit of the Living God lives INSIDE of you! Be careful what you expose your temple to today in the sense realm. Don’t lose sight of the fact that where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom: freedom for you to walk in peace and joy in the midst of circumstance; freedom to walk in the power that abides inside of you to conquer and walk in victory. We are God’s temple…so don’t lose sight of the awesome responsibility we have to honor God in it.

☀️ What have you “taken” this morning? The Word of God encourages us to “take” comfort and encouragement in the fact that the Lord IS our Helper. What have you taken on emotionally or otherwise that you need to hand back over to your Helper? There’s nothing that we have to worry or fear because our Heavenly Father is omniscient—He knows all and the circumstance cannot take Him by surprise. So, when you stay connected to Him, He will give you wisdom, favor and discernment wherever and whenever it’s needed so trust Him. You can confidently put your trust in Him.

Obtaining Godly wisdom should be the most consequential thing —the most order of business for the believer. Knowing the will of our Heavenly Father equates to knowing and meditating on His Word. Our appetite to get understanding = our desire to please Him in all of our affairs (Joshua 1:8). When we seek the wisdom of God, we have an advantage because He will give us insight on how to speak and deal with those around us, how to represent Him properly, how to steward what He’s already blessed us with. Get understanding today: pray in tongues and meditate on God’s Word. Wisdom is yours for the asking (James 1:5).

Do you ever feel like the Lord is far away? Psalm 145:18 reassures us that He certainly is not, no matter what may tell us otherwise. At times in our lives, we may fail to call upon Him or ask for help due to pride, fear, or confusion, but our only response to a scripture like this should be gladness! We should be GLAD that He has promised to be near to us, be GLAD that He will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). When we go to Him on the basis of His Word, there is nothing that He won’t do for us. Call upon Him today - in every area where you desire for Him to be near and watch Him move!

The only way that we truly know how to love God, love ourselves, and love others is through the sacrifice that God made when He sent Jesus to die in our place. Jesus received the penalty of sin for us in compliance with God’s plan to reconcile us to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). In a nutshell, it is God’s love that teaches us how to love. Apart from Him, we are nothing, we can do nothing. Everything good in us is because of Him. Be sure to freely give of that love today just as it was freely given to you.

What an appropriate scripture for the days that we are living in! The word of God instructs us to be careful of those who may look like Christians, talk like Christians, and even prophesy as such, but who are actually as “ravenous wolves” - corrupt and wicked on the inside. So how do we navigate all of this? Well, the next verse (vs. 16) goes on to say: “Ye shall know them by their fruits…”, the way that we guard our interactions is by testing the spirits as 1 John 4:1-3 tells us: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this, you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.”

The Holy Spirit will make us keenly aware of who and what has been sent by God and vice versa. Stay spiritually aware today family and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in every area of your life.

God remains faithful to His Word and that Word never returns to Him void. Whatever He has said about you MUST come to pass. God has provided spiritual armor that will cause us to stand firm in the face of adversity. The Word of God instructs us to not only put on this armor as an act of our will but to continue standing through tests and trials, even when we’ve done all that we know to do. Clothing ourselves in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (found in Ephesians 6:14-17) will fortify our spirit man on difficult days and protect us from opposition on every side. As you get dressed today, don’t forget your armor. You are more than a conqueror. Go in peace and victory!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | August 1ST

If God said it, that settles it. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “settle” as “to fix or resolve conclusively; to establish or secure permanently; to sink gradually or to the bottom; to come to rest." ⁣⁣

This offers us a colorful description of how we should receive any direction or leading from the Holy Spirit and every word that God has spoken to us through His Word [the Bible]. If He says that you are the righteousness of God, redeemed and set free, then that’s settles it. That IS who you are…period! If He says that He’s given you the victory and that you have favor with Him and man, then it’s settled, you do. ⁣

Walk in obedience and trust His direction every step of the way. It’s past time that we let it “sink in” and “go to the bottom” of our hearts and minds: IT’S SETTLED. 🗣 “I don’t need a Plan B, I can depend on God.” He is faithful, and His promises are sure (2 Corinthians 1:20). #ItsSettled #TrustGod AND #Rest⁣⁣⁣

In addition, we have the Holy Spirit (our Counselor) from whom we can receive godly wisdom.

The more time we spend in the presence of God and meditating on His Word, we get to know Him better, which ultimately makes it easier to conform to His ways. 

He’s made you MORE than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). He is your protection and covering, so you have nothing to fear (Psalm 91:4). If you need wisdom and direction, you have access to the Holy Spirit - your Helper (James 1:5). In and through the mighty power of God, you will find the strength you need to fulfill every task before you today (Ephesians 6:10, Philippians 4:13)! So hold your head up and walk humbly and confidently in the divine power that God has been given to you.⁣
