If God said it, that settles it. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “settle” as “to fix or resolve conclusively; to establish or secure permanently; to sink gradually or to the bottom; to come to rest." ⁣⁣

This offers us a colorful description of how we should receive any direction or leading from the Holy Spirit and every word that God has spoken to us through His Word [the Bible]. If He says that you are the righteousness of God, redeemed and set free, then that’s settles it. That IS who you are…period! If He says that He’s given you the victory and that you have favor with Him and man, then it’s settled, you do. ⁣

Walk in obedience and trust His direction every step of the way. It’s past time that we let it “sink in” and “go to the bottom” of our hearts and minds: IT’S SETTLED. 🗣 “I don’t need a Plan B, I can depend on God.” He is faithful, and His promises are sure (2 Corinthians 1:20). #ItsSettled #TrustGod AND #Rest⁣⁣⁣

Oftentimes, the path that we are on in life has already been “straightened” for us without us even being aware - So when you reflect on all that He’s blessed you with today, don’t forget about the things He’s removed from your path without you even being aware. You are loved and precious in His sight, and the location of both your steps and heart is important to Him. Trust in Him and rest (Proverbs 3:5-6)!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

He’ll cut down a mountain, smooth out rough ground or even send people on our behalf to get us through, and the world will have to sit back and take notice at the way He does it. He will always get the glory. We have access to the Holy Spirit, and He’s our Guide. He desires to order your steps and direct your life (Psalm 37:23), so let Him! ⁣⁣⁣That’s the kind of good Father we serve. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

#WeekendReminder Our God is a “finisher”. He completes every task that His hand is upon. He didn’t start calling creation - as we know it - into existence and then give up because He was tired or no longer inspired. Be encouraged that in a similar fashion, the work that God has begun IN you, whether it’s your purpose, a vision that God has given you or even Him helping you to make improvements in your life (Psalm 138:8), He will complete it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣

🙌 He has not and will not give up on you. You can do all things with the help of the Lord (Philippians 4:13) and can complete any task today in Jesus’ name (2 Timothy 1:7). ⁣⁣⁣

Nehemiah and his men were busy at work rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem to protect it against their enemies. In the process, regular troublemakers Sanballat, Tobiah and their gang showed up trying to distract them from their assignment. Oftentimes, it’s this way in our daily lives. God may reveal your purpose to you and even give you instructions to fulfill the vision that He’s assigned you to be busy on [whether it appears to be on a large or small scale]. ⁣⁣⁣

However, oftentimes you may find that the enemy will try to send distractions your way to get you off course or to cause you to abandon the vision all together. Don’t quit or lose focus though; the Greater One lives inside of you. Commit today to have razor focus on what God has assigned to you. Take on the same attitude that Nehemiah and his men had: “why should the work stop while I leave to come down to meet you?” Don’t come down to the enemies level or allow him to waste your time or energy. The work that God has called you to is much too important. Stay focused on what He has called you to and keep your spirit man built up throughout the day. You’ve got this with His help!⁣⁣

As believers, our joy should stem from the heart of thanksgiving that we have as the result of what our Father God and His Son Jesus has done for us! He loved us and counted us valuable enough to transfer us from the kingdom of darkness (where we belonged because of our sin nature) and into His kingdom. We're no longer in bondage to sin or fear, but we've made privy to the benefits of the inhabitants of God’s Kingdom including true joy and supernatural peace. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

So SMILE…you’re the responsibility of the King of King and Lord of Lords! Your Heavenly Father. Place and leave your life and plans in the capable hands of your Heavenly Father. He won't lead you astray!⁣

🙌 Our Heavenly Father desires to be near us at all times. He wants to be “in our midst” and to work in and through us daily (John 14:12, Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:13). There’s a reason that God tells us to meditate on—to center our minds on—things that are pure, wholesome, confirmed by His Word and honorable; He cares about what is on our hearts and our minds even when others are not aware (1 Samuel 16:7).

So, if you’re struggling with anger, impure thoughts, doubt or even trusting God and building your faith, take a look at what you’ve allowed your mind to focus on. Even strengthening our relationship with God - just like any other relationship - demands devoting time to it and studying His Word. Think on those things that honor God and ask for His help to stay focus on those things. He is not only willing, but He desires to help you (Psalm 46:1). ⁣⁣
