Before we were born again, we were separated from God. We had no right and no access to the promises of God. When a man or woman accepts Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives, they can then access the rights and privileges that are promised to us in the Word of God. There are many Christians who, even though they have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, are still without hope in this world because they have no knowledge of the promises of God (the covenant). Hosea 4:6 tells us that God’s people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge. When one studies the Word of God and receives knowledge of what belongs to them, they can then begin to walk in newness of life and as they act on what they know, a change will begin to take place. They will see God’s intervention in their affairs because God is watching over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC). As believers we must study the Word of God and find out what belongs to us, if not we will be like the world and have no hope. Trust God.

This should be the desire of every believer. To be able to say, “I have finished my course.” To be able to say that “I have accomplished all that God has placed on the inside of me.” If it is our aim to be able to say those words, we must be willing to fight the way that he did. Paul was stoned; shipwrecked, beaten with rods, whipped, and faced hardships in nearly every city where he preached, yet he finished his course. Paul faced more hardships than any one of us could ever imagine, and yet he did not quit. Paul was determined to become all that God wanted him to be. He even said, “Forgetting those things that are behind, I press towards the mark...” (Philippians 3:13)”. It takes determination not to give up despite the obstacles, but we must also understand that like Paul, we have the Greater One, who cannot fail and cannot lose, living on the inside of us. If we will stay determined and refuse to quit, we can one day say what Paul said: “I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Jesus had a remarkably close relationship with His Father. God was truly His Source. He sought the Father early in the morning, and He sought Him late in the evening. Even after spending His entire day traveling and teaching the Word of God, He had to fellowship with His Father. In the verse above, Jesus spent the whole night in prayer because He had a big decision to make. How many of us are willing to spend the whole night in prayer because of a major decision that needed to be made? God wants to lead us and guide us in all the major decisions in our lives. It is amazing that even though Jesus is the Son of God, He still sought the will of His Father on major decisions. We must make prayer a priority in our lives, our futures depend on it.

At the age of twelve, Jesus was already about His mission and fulfilling His destiny. He was asking questions and receiving information from people who were more seasoned than He was. Even though He was God in the flesh, He allowed Himself to go through the process of learning and becoming obsessed with His purpose. Even when He became an adult, Jesus was driven to accomplish what the Father had sent Him to do. He would minister in the synagogues and set the people free from all manner of sickness, disease and demonic oppression and possession. Jesus would wake up early in the morning to fellowship with the Father and would stay up late after ministering and traveling, just to commune even more with the Father. Jesus is our example. Even though He was the Son of God, He had a healthy obsession with His purpose. If Jesus did it, how much more should we?

God is famous for His marvelous acts. He is also known for His surprises. Many times, when we are believing God to meet a need in our lives, we tend to think we know how God is going to do it. We expect it to come in the mail. We expect a holy handshake, we have a tendency to think, “since God has done it this way before, He will do it this way again. We must remember that God has a million ways to meet our needs, and just because He did it one way before does not mean that He will do it that way every time. If you look at the ministry of Jesus, He did things differently. He told Peter to take money from a fish’s mouth to pay taxes. He spat and made clay and put it in a man’s eyes and told him to wash his eyes out and the blind man was able to see. Sometimes he spoke to a person’s body and sometimes he laid His hands on people. At the end of the day, the people’s needs were met, just not the same way all the time. It is not our job to figure out how God is going to do something, our job is to trust him and know He is more than capable of meeting any need in our lives, regardless of what the need may be.

God does not mince words. The world is run by His enemy, and things are not operating according to God’s original intent. God does not want us in love with this world. The Scripture above lists what is associated with this world: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. All these things will take us away from the Father, and these things are what caused the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden. God, being the good Father that He is, is simply looking out for His children. He simply desires to keep us from sharing the same fate as Adam and Eve. We do not have to fall and get out of relationship with our Heavenly Father. We can simply come out from among them (the world) and stay separate (II Corinthians 6:17). In doing so, this will cause God to be a Father to us and keep us unblemished by this world. These two things will not only cause us to succeed in the things of God, but in accomplishing everything that He has preordained for us to walk in.

God had promised Moses that His presence would go with the people as they were journeying towards the promised land. Moses understood that they did not stand a chance in obtaining what God had promised them without God. God honored Moses’ request and then told Moses that he had found favor, loving-kindness, mercy and that He knew Moses personally. What a powerful statement for God to make about a human being. God said that He knew Moses personally. What could be a higher honor than for the God of the universe to say that He knows someone personally? That is what He wants for all His children. He wants a relationship. Favor comes out of relationship. The blessings of God come out of relationship with God. Let's continue to cultivate our relationship with God. He wants to know you personally. He wants to pour out His goodness on us like never before.

Jabez asked for some interesting things. He wanted to expand his influence, be free from evil, and walk in the blessing of God. As believers, we have access to those same blessings. As we are faithful to what God has called us to, we can expect promotion. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law and therefore we are granted access to the Blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13). And finally, God has given us access to his angels, and they are ministering spirits sent to protect us and to watch over us. We don’t have to make the same requests that Jabez made, as believers we can simply expect to walk in those blessings as we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all of those things will be added to us.

God loves His children and has given them access to His Kingdom. Everything that we could ever ask or need has been given to us through the Kingdom of God. The secret counsels of God has not been hidden from us, it has been hidden for us. The world cannot receive the counsel of God because spiritual things are foolish to them. Psalm 25 tells us that “the secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.” God doesn’t just reveal His secrets to just anyone. As you fellowship with God through prayer and His Word, you will not only have a better understanding of the mysteries of the covenant but also how to operate within the covenant. The covenant is a key to our success as believers.

Obedience is very important. Disobedience always costs. Isaiah 1:19 tells us that if we be willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land. Nadab and Abihu’s disobedience cost them their lives. They wanted to offer unholy fire to the Lord, and it was in direct disobedience to what God had instructed. It is important that we strive to walk in God’s will and not our own. It is important to things God’s way and not the way we think things should be done. There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12). We must trust our Heavenly Father and know that He knows what is best for us. We may not always understand everything, but we must get to the point that when it comes down to doing things His way or our way, His way must take precedent every time. Father knows best.

God expects there to be growth in our lives. It is understandable for someone to be considered spiritually immature when that person initially receives salvation. Over time, the individual should be growing in the things of God. Our knowledge of the Word should be growing. Our understanding of the Word should improve over time. As we meditate and act on the Word of God, we should be growing in the things of God. The Word of God is like milk to a newborn, and it is how we grow in the things of God (I Peter 2:2). Later on, the Word is referred to as “meat”. In order for us to grow in our perspective, we must chew on the Word and just like eventually a baby will become physically mature enough to start consuming food, we must get to the point where we are no longer at the babyhood level. Eventually we are developed to the point where the Word is now “meat” to us and no longer milk. As a baby must grow through milk, we must do the same. We must continue to develop and grow until we are fully grown and no longer spiritually immature. God is counting on us to do so.

Feeling anxious? Struggling with thoughts of doubt over your purpose, the current state of the world or the affairs of your life? Make sure you start your morning off right and give those burdens or doubts to God right now. He is a GREAT Father, and He will give you peace, comfort and joy throughout the day. In Psalm 37:25, King David testifies of God’s goodness, faithfulness and mercy. He says “I have been young, and now am old;
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.” Regardless of all of the trials that David faced (some of his own doing, some of others), he had enough wisdom and insight to know that they had no impact on reliance on his Heavenly Father and Redeemer because of His character. Let’s emulate King David. Place your confidence on His reputation. He won’t fail you. He will give you discernment where and when it’s needed. BE OF GOOD CHEER! God’s got your back, and He loves you. Find comfort and rest in that.

God loved us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die for our sin. He took the penalty that we had ‘justly’ placed on us because of the sin nature of mankind. So, if you’ve been abandoned, unworthy, lacking courage, fearful, let this be a reminder of the substitute that Jesus became just for you! He took our sentence, and we have been redeemed (Ephesians 1:7)!

Not only are you no longer bound by sin (Romans 4:16), but you are victorious and more than a conqueror. You’ve been set apart and marked as His child. You no longer are defined by your previous identity BC (before Christ). You are kings/priests and have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). You have been blessed with the opportunity to be Christ’s ambassadors, so rejoice! Let your actions and attitude reflect your awareness of His love for you. You are loved!⁣

Adversity comes to all of us. Adversity has a way of revealing what we are really made of. It reveals what is on the inside of us. This Scripture reference tell us that what we do when adversity hits, reveals how strong we truly are. Anyone can quote God’s Word when everything is going well in our lives. We demonstrate strength in adversity by quoting God’s Word when everything in our lives, seemingly is going wrong. When Satan is attacking every area of our lives, what we say reveals what's on the inside of us. One man said, “When we squeeze a tube of toothpaste, we expect toothpaste to come out. When Satan puts the squeeze on us, it reveals what's on the inside.” If we are Word people, when Satan puts the squeeze on us, the only thing that should be coming out is the Word. Let's build our strength now and not wait on the adversity. After all: it's hard to build a house in the middle of a storm.

Moses’ father Jethro had come to see Moses. Jethro had witnessed Moses judging the people from sun up to sun down. He told Moses that what he was doing wasn’t good and that he needed to choose men who would be rulers of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens. Everyone can’t be ruler over thousands, at least not initially. We must be willing to be rulers over ten before we become rulers over fifty, and so on. The Bible tells us that if we will be faithful over a few things, we will become rulers over much (Matthew 25:23). The Bible also tells us not to despise the day of small things (Zechariah 4:10). God will take us from glory to glory, but we must humble ourselves, and be willing to start where we are, however small, and allow God to promote us as we are faithful.

Prosperity begins with God. As long as we seek God, prosperity is certain to take place in our lives. This Scripture sounds similar to Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you”. Years ago, Pastor Gool said, “God is prosperity”. Prosperity is who God is. He is the source of prosperity. I Chronicles 29:12, says, “Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all”. God knows how to prosper us, but it begins with seeking Him. We must seek first His kingdom, and as we do that, we can expect things to be added unto us.

God did many wonderful things for the children of Israel. He caused them to be set free after sending twelve plagues upon Egypt. But that is not all. He gave the people favor with the Egyptians to the point that they walked out of Egypt with silver and gold. The Israelites were compensated for all their years of being slaves. God knows how to make our enemies pay for what they have done to us, and that is one of the reasons why He said that,"vengeance is mine, I will repay” (Romans 12:19). God knows how to fight for His people, and He knows how to compensate them for their pain and suffering (caused by the devil, of course). Allow God to fight your battles. You stay in the love walk. We are to love our enemies and do good to those who despitefully use us (Luke 6: 27-28). That is the seed that we sow and eventually we will reap a harvest of love and good. Allow God to deal with your enemies, He is better qualified to handle it than we are.

Moses having his hands up was pivotal in Israel experiencing victory in their battle with Amalek. As long as his hands were up, they succeeded. When his hands came down, they began to lose the battle. A pastor is a spiritual leader with great responsibilities. His congregation plays a role similar to that of Aaron and Hur. In order for a pastor to carry out what God has placed on the inside of him, he needs help. He needs someone to hold his arms up. What would have happened if Moses only had one arm up? What if Aaron or Hur decided not to do their part? The Israelites would have lost. When it comes to the local church. Everyone must do their part. The Bible tells us that every joint supplies (Ephesians 4:16). Every part of the body is important. The eye isn’t more important than the ear. The ear isn’t more important than the hand. Every part of the body must carry out its role in order for the body to function the way it's supposed to. In the same way, we must all fulfill our role in our respective church if it is going to function the way God designed for it to.

Joseph endured several hardships on his way to the palace. He was betrayed by his brothers, falsely accused of a crime, and served time in prison. Despite all of this, Joseph eventually got to the place that God had preordained for him to be. He became governor of Egypt and was second-in-command to Pharoah. Joseph’s brothers thought that Joseph would take revenge on them for what they did, but that isn’t what Joseph had on his mind. Joseph looked at things from God’s perspective. He understood that God sent him to Egypt to save humanity during a severe famine. We can learn a lot from Joseph. He understood that God had sent him to be a blessing to humanity, even the people who betrayed him and lied on him. Joseph understood that he was there on assignment. Wherever you find yourself, it should be where God has sent you, and you should be on assignment. If not, seek His face and find out where God wants you and get His Wisdom on how to get there. Humanity needs the sons of God, and we must fulfill our role. God is counting on us.

☀️ As you prepare for the day, reflect on the mercy of God. He clearly demonstrated His love and grace through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. It’s nothing that we did in and of ourselves; but through our salvation in Jesus, we have the freedom to live our lives justified in God’s eyes. ⁣

Not only do we have the gift of eternal life, but we have the benefit of having an actual relationship with our Heavenly Father. We have the privilege of receiving direction and comfort through the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. So, don’t lose sight of the benefits of that relationship. God’s love for you is profound (John 15:13: He desires for you to live victoriously in life. Just trust Him for direction and favor and be sure to give Him the glory every step of the way. ⁣⁣
