DAILY DEVOTIONAL | October 8th

The Word of God is the answer to every problem that we face in life. There are times in our lives when we need to increase our Word intake. There are times when we must “immerse” ourselves in the Word of God. As we increase the amount of Word in our lives, we can expect the Word to prevail in our lives. If you are experiencing an attack in your body, increase the Word concerning healing. If lack is trying to invade your finances, increase the Word concerning prosperity. Whatever the enemy is trying to attack: your joy, your peace, your health, find out what the Word of God has to say, and then counter-attack what the enemy is trying to do. The Word will always prevail when it is planted in our hearts. We must guard it until it produces victory in our lives.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | October 7th

There is a time to speak and a time to stay silent (Ecclesiastes 3:7). Our words are significant, and they have power. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we must recognize when to speak and when to hold our tongue. When the enemy attacks our lives, it is important what we say because our words are potent. Our words can move mountains. Our words can also reinforce what is already in place. That is one reason we must call those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). God has chosen the things which are not, to bring to naught (nothing) the things that are (I Corinthians 1:28). We must get a revelation of the importance of our words and the timing of when to speak those forcible words. Those components could be the key to breakthroughs and turnarounds in our lives.

We must never despise where we start. We must embrace the process. It's been said, “The path to the prize is greater than the prize itself”. The path causes us to grow, develop, and become more. It causes us to develop the talent and potential that God placed on inside of us. As we are faithful where God places us, then He will promote us, and over time, we will find ourselves in a position that is far beyond where we began. God will prosper us as we stay faithful on the path that He has set before us.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | October 5th

As believers we know that there is a better place than this present earth. Heaven is our destination if we have acceptedJesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The text tells us that we can look forward to a time when there will be no more grief, pain, anger, or sorrow. There will be no more sickness in heaven. There will be no signs of the curse because there is no curse in Heaven. Sickness, disease, lack, poverty, and death are all results of sin, and sin is what caused the curse to enter the earth. Heaven is a wonderful place and a place we should all look forward to as believers. There isn’t anything on this earth worth missing Heaven over. If Heaven is full of good things, we can only imagine the alternative. We can only imagine the suffering and torment that is taking place in hell. It should be enough to make sure that you are in right standing with God. Let’s examine ourselves today and make sure that there is nothing in our lives that will cause us to miss Heaven. There is nothing on this earth that is worth it.

The earth was in bad shape. The world was so bad that God decided that He would destroy all of creation, including man. Fortunately, He was able to find one man who walked righteously before Him. That man was Noah. Noah walked in habitual fellowship with God, and it saved his life and the lives of his family. Our relationship with God will do the same. Regardless of how bad the world gets, we can still be set apart. We can still live a life that is holy, sanctified, and righteous. When we do, God will always show up in our lives. He instructs us to come out from among them and be separate (II Corinthians 6: 17-18). There is to be a difference between us and the world. There is to be a separation.

Faithfulness is a part of God’s character. Faithfulness is who God is. He is faithful to His promises, and He is faithful to us because that is a part of His character. We never have to question the integrity of God’s Word. We never have to wonder whether He will fulfill His promises. Jeremiah 1:12 tells us that God is alert and active and watching over His Word to perform it. Even His angels hearken to the voice of His Word (Psalm 103:21). God is a covenant-keeping God, and the Word tells us that He keeps covenant to a thousand generations (Deuteronomy 7:9). You don’t ever have to worry about God keeping His Word. We must examine ourselves and make sure that we are in faith and standing on God’s Word. When we do our part, God will always do His.

God is endeavoring to make our lives better. He already has a plan for our lives. Plans that are good and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11). As we are faithful where we are, God will open doors for us: doors that will enable us to advance in our respective companies, doors that will increase our income, doors that will improve our quality of life.

The enemy may try to hinder and stop what God is doing, but he will not be successful if we stand against him and exercise our authority. The devil is not stronger than God, and he cannot hinder what God is doing in our lives unless we allow him to. Don’t allow the devil to rob you of God’s blessings. He is a defeated foe, and God expects us to demonstrate Satan’s defeat. As we resist the devil, he has no choice but to flee. Stand on God’s Word, resist the devil, and watch your life continue to go from glory to glory.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | October 1st

As believers, we have an obligation to represent God here on the earth. We cannot misrepresent Him through our actions. In his letter, Paul informed Titus of a group of people who claimed to know God, but their lifestyle contradicted that. Their actions showed that they really did not have a relationship with God. I John 5:18 tells us that “anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin.” We are born of God, and His life is on the inside of us. Since His life and nature is on the inside of us, we ought to live a sanctified and holy life. There are no perfect people, and we all should strive for perfection. God looks at the heart. If we have a heart for God and desire to serve Him, our lifestyle and behavior will get in line with what is on the inside of us. We will begin to live holy, even as He is holy.

No matter what happens in life, praise should always be coming out of our mouths. We bless the Lord because He is good. We bless Him because every good thing in our lives came from Him. He is the Source of everything good in our lives. When things aren’t going well in our lives, praise will change it.
Praise will change the atmosphere. Praise will still the avenger (Satan). We always bless the Lord because even when things aren’t going as well, it is praise that will turn the tide. Praise will bring God on the scene because the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Let's always bless the Lord. Let's please Him through our praise because praise is the highest form of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Our strength comes from God. He is our ability. We are one with the Spirit of God. We have access to the life of God. Jesus said that He is the vine, and we are the branches. We are to get our life from Him because of our connection to Him. We have access to His wisdom, His might, His strength, His nature; and, we have access to everything that He is.  When you feel like you can’t go on, depend on His might. When you feel weak, depend on His strength. God will make up the difference and get you through when you feel like you can’t take another step. God’s ability is sufficient, and we are connected to that ability. Step outside of yourself, the answer is on the inside. Greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.

A key to living a successful life is consistency. It's not just what you do occasionally. It's what you are willing to do on an everyday basis. If you want to lose weight, you must exercise consistently. You want to get closer to God, you must be consistent in your prayer life and in studying the Word of God. Daniel was consistent. Even after the king gave his decree, Daniel opened his window and prayed like he always did. Jesus went to the synagogue often because it was his custom. The ant will not starve in the winter because they are constantly storing up food because they understand that winter is coming. If we want to continue to experience greater levels of success, we must remain consistent in every area of our lives. You cannot go to another level without consistently changing. God never intended for you to stay the same.

It has been said that there is a reason why we have been given two ears and one mouth. We are to do more listening than speaking. There are people who aren't very good listeners. They don't hear the whole story and speak on the matter. The Bible instructs us not to do that. We should not only wait to hear the whole matter, but we should ponder and think on what has been spoken before we speak on what has been said.

Sometimes we need to wait before we respond on a matter. There are times when we need the Holy Spirit’s guidance on a matter so that we will know how to respond appropriately on it later. The Bible tells us that even a fool is considered wise when he holds his tongue (Proverbs 17:28). It’s possible for a person to be fooled when someone remains quiet on a matter for a period of time before speaking on it. Let's be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. It is always in our best interest when we do.

God’s blessed us with a brand new week! Let’s be diligent about continuing (or starting) in choosing our words wisely today. They have power! Speak life and not death over yourself, your family, friends, and loved ones. Let your first words today be ones that express your gratefulness to God for the gift of life this morning (1 Chronicles 16:34); and make sure that before you think about the current circumstances of your life - good or bad, you examine what you say. ⁣⁣Ask God to guard the door of your mouth (Psalm 141:3). You are a child of the Most High God and redeemed from the curse of the law. Remember: your words frame your world! Think on good things (Philippians 4:8), then speak life to your circumstance. Have a blessed day...and rest of your week (confess it now!)⁣⁣⁣

In this Scripture, God is talking to the Israelites as they were about to enter the promised land. This verse is also significant to us as believers because when we ask Jesus to become the Lord of our lives, we become children of God sanctified or set apart. God tells us that when we come out from the world, He will be God to us, and we will be God’s people. He will manifest Himself to us and bring us into His promised land for us. It’s a promised land that He preordained for us to walk in. God has not changed. If He was faithful to bring His “set-apart” ones into the promised land under the old covenant, how much more His "set-apart ones" under the new covenant?

Naaman had sought the man of God because he wanted to be cleansed from his condition of leprosy. The prophet told him to dip seven times in the Jordan River. Naaman was disappointed because he thought the prophet would have given him a different set of instructions. He thought God was going to meet his need another way. Isn't that like us? We have a need, and we already know how we want God to meet our need. We cannot put God in a box. We must obey Him when we receive instructions from Him. We cannot think that we know how God is going to do it. We just have to be confident that He is going to do it. We don't have to know how, we just need to know that He will. He will do everything that His Word says He will do.

The Bible says a lot about associations. It’s been said that "Your associations determine your destiny". Lot became wealthy because of his association with Abraham. Laban became wealthy because of Jacob. If sinners entice you and try to get you to "run with them", run! The Bible tells us that the way of the transgressors is hard(Proverbs 13:15), and evil communication corrupts good manners ( 1 Corinthians 15:33). Can two walk together except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3) We must walk with wise men if we want to be wise. We must walk with believers if we want to stay believers. Choose your associations wisely, it could cost you your destiny.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | September 22nd

We should always endeavor to keep our spirits strong. When the enemy comes against us, it is our spirit that sustains us during the attack. We strengthen our spirits by reading and meditating on the Word of God and by praying in the spirit. When we pray in the spirit (or in other tongues) we are building ourselves up on our most holy faith. We are charging ourselves up similar to the way you charge a battery.

The Apostle Paul stayed charged up. If you look at all the things that he endured, you will see why he prayed in tongues more than anyone in the church of Corinth (I Corinthians 14:18). He was stoned, whipped, imprisoned, beaten with rods, shipwrecked, just to name a few things, yet despite all those things, he finished his course. The enemy may come against us, but that doesn’t mean that he can win. As we keep our spirits strong, we can overcome anything he may try to bring our way. Our spirits will sustain us.

We only have one enemy. It isn’t a co-worker. It isn’t a family member. It isn’t someone in government. Our enemy is the devil, Satan. He is our adversary, and he walks around as a roaring lion, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. We are instructed to resist him. We must be determined that he is not going to steal, kill, or destroy anything in our lives. We have been given authority over the wicked one, and when we resist him, he has no choice but to flee. No matter what the devil is attempting to do in your life, he cannot succeed if you stand against him with the Word of God. We not only have the Word of God, but we also have the name of Jesus and the Spirit of God on the inside of us. The Word of God tells us that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (I John 4:4). We have the power and the ability to withstand and overcome any attack of the devil. Don’t allow him to convince you otherwise. He is not only a liar, but he is also defeated.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | September 20th

God has a plan for our lives. He not only has the plan, but He orders our steps for us to arrive at the place where He has preordained for us to be. God knows how to arrange events. When Samuel was to anoint Saul to be king over Israel, God told Samuel the day before that He was sending a man out of the land of Benjamin to be anointed king. Saul was looking for his father’s donkeys and that is why he was in the same area as Samuel, but Saul did not know that his steps were ordered by the Lord.

God sent him that way so that he could be anointed king over Israel. God has a way of making things happen in our lives when we allow Him to. We can believe that when we surrender our lives to God, He will order our steps and put us in the right place at the right time, so that we can experience the good life that He has preordained for us to live.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | September 19th

No one can accomplish the will of God without help. Jesus had 12 disciples. Moses needed these men to help him judge the people's cases in the wilderness. He was attempting to listen to the people's cases by himself and Jethro was telling him that what he was doing wasn't good for his health. Moses was going to wear himself out if he didn't get some help.

Sometimes people can be stubborn when it comes to receiving help. It takes humility to admit that you need help, but it’s important to remember there is nothing wrong with receiving help. Every great leader has to have help in order for his company or his organization to experience success. There is no such thing as a self-made man. No one is self-made. Everyone who is successful has needed help at some point in their lives. Let's be a part of the solution in people's lives. Your pastor needs your help. Your company needs your help. When you help someone to achieve their goals, someone will come along and help you to achieve yours. It goes in line with the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
