North and South Carolina governors relax mask mandates
The governors of North and South Carolina have officially relaxed and lifted mask mandates across both states. Governor Henry McMaster announced this week he was lifting the executive order for masks. The governor also announced parents will have the option to have their children wear masks or not in school. Governor McMaster said in his statement we must move past the time of governments dictating when and where South Carolinians are required to wear a mask. Governor Roy Cooper announced this week he will lift all mandates for mandatory capacity, gathering and social distancing requirements. The Governor is still strongly urging masks for those who are unvaccinated. Cooper says the recommendation is at the urging of the CDC who is also encouraging masks for those who have not received the COVID-19 shot. Critics say this mandate is another attempt to manipulate people into taking the shot especially those who chosen not to get it for various reasons. President Biden stirred controversy recently by tweeting: “The rule is not simple get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do”. Critics called the tweet tyrannical.

Terrorist group Hamas recently attacked Israel sending rockets into Israeli territory. Seven people have been reported killed by Hamas rockets in Israel; 188 people are reported killed in Gaza. Israel’s actions have been in defense of its borders in response to Hamas firing rockets into the county. The Israel Defense Forces have reportedly destroyed several terrorist strongholds and tunnels in response. Hamas is known for using civilians as human shields, even using spaces in civilian buildings to fire rockets at Israel. Critics attacked Israel in the press for firing on a Palestinian news building. In our SNBC Health report: researchers are reporting about the dangers of consuming too much sugar. According to research from the CDC the rate of obesity in America is climbing. The organization reports the rate of obese adults in America has almost doubled since studies that were conducted on the same subject in 1999. The American Heart Association blames the issue mainly on sugar. They report the average American eats far more than the amount recommended each day. Researchers blame the over consumption of sugar mainly on processed foods. The average American according to the study consumes 60 pounds of sugar per year. This amount is three times the recommended amount. Children on average consume 65 pounds of sugar each year. The study groups believe most consumers take in too much sugar due to it being hidden in most foods. Fruit juices, energy drinks and some items advertised as health foods have high amounts of sugar added to them. Researchers believe this is cause of more sugar being added into most people’s diet without their knowledge. To limit sugar intake researchers advise reading labels and limiting the amount of processed foods and sugar as often as possible.

The California Department of Public Health has officially changed its guidelines for places of worship.
The Department announced capacity limits for places of worship will no longer be mandatory. Social distancing and limits on attendance will still be strongly recommended. Several churches in the state filed lawsuits to have churches reopen. In at least three cases the Supreme Court ruled in favor of California churches. The governor Gavin Newsom and the state’s health department previously justified the bans citing COVID restrictions. The California state attorney office recently lost another case last week in an attempt to ban religious gatherings in a private resident. Co-founder of BLM criticized for acquiring properties in exclusive neighborhoods
A scandal within the Black Live Matter movement is making national headlines. BLM Group leaders in several regions of the US have been vocal about co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors’ recent headlines. According to several sources, Cullors recently began purchasing multi-million dollar homes in exclusive areas. News reports show Cullors purchased four homes totaling 3.2 million dollars. This included a vacation home in the Bahamas, and a 1.4 million dollar home in an exclusive California neighborhood that includes neighbors such as golf professional Tiger Woods. Several activists within the organization criticized the purchases and questioned why the purchases were made and in such exclusive areas. One activist not affiliated with Black Lives Matter says the co-founder’s purchases look like Cullors is not giving validation to the movement overlooking supporters by opting for an extravagant lifestyle. The activist further urged for an internal investigation into the purchases. The Black Lives Matter Global Network received 90 million dollars last year in donations. The story was published originally by a gossip website before The New York Post covered the story. Facebook later banned the New York Post story under its guidelines concerning false information. Patrisse Khan-Cullors claims she does not make any money from BLM and the purchases were made to provide for her extended family and for use as  AirBNB rentals. She also says she is being terrorized and has had to hire security to protect herself. Cullors is a self-proclaimed Marxist; most critics say the real estate investments do not match her claimed beliefs.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network released a statement defending Cullors also claiming white supremacists and right-wing extremists are behind the criticism.

Definition of Marxism - a political and economic theory where society has no class. Every person works for a common good; class struggle is theoretically gone. (Socialism and Communism have similar beliefs and are basically beliefs based on Marxism).  The anchor (Wendy Chaplin) in an opinion piece during the live broadcast mentioned to the crowd that by observing history two things are made evident: 1. Most societies that embrace Marxism, Communism, and Socialism end up having a structure that only benefits the top percent of society (usually those in control are usually the only ones that truly benefit from this type of social structure). 2. Ms. Chaplin used the example of an inverted pyramid for the second point: Those at the top of Marxist, Communists, and Socialists societies are the only ones who ever see money and success, while the bottom of society in Marxists, Communists, and Socialists communities barely sees any form of prosperity and usually those at the bottom of the tier experience is drastically different from those in control (poverty and oppression). The media is also usually controlled in these societies, hiding the truth from the average citizen.

Pentagon announces possible “microchip” like COVID detection system
Medical researchers at the Pentagon are currently working on a controversial product. The story was recently reported by CBN NEWS and the news documentary show 60 minutes. Military researchers are working on technology that when inserted into the body would detect COVID-19. Military officials claim it’s not a microchip. However, the tissue-like gel would be inserted under the skin as a monitor. When the device is inserted under the skin it will monitor the human blood testing continuously. If the virus is detected results can be revealed in just a few minutes. The medical officials say the idea is being developed because of a  previous COVID outbreak on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The outbreak affected over one thousand soldiers. Officials say this type of device would help prevent a similar outbreak in the future.

Magnesium, potassium, and zinc are among minerals considered the most essential. Dr. DiNicloantonio says the best way to get essential minerals is through food.
