Day 218
Psalm 3:2
"Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger."
When the religious leaders complained about the children praising Jesus, He referred to Psalm 8:2. He brought to our attention that praise brings strength and stops the work of our enemy. When we praise God, it expresses our faith in who He is and what He can do. Praise confuses and terrifies our enemy and motivates God to act on our behalf.
The enemy is frightened by our praise, because what we say about God when we brag about Him in true. He is the greatest! There is no god beside Him! He cannot be stopped when He begins to move! That is why the psalmist said, "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before Him."
Praise is obviously one of the things that causes God to act on our behalf. Toe scripture has a number of examples of God manifesting His power as a result of people praising Him. We need to praise our God more. It will build our faith. It will save us from much stress and trouble.
I will praise God more and more. God will act on my behalf, and I will experience more and more victory and peace.
