Day 220

Psalm 121:2

"My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth."

The psalmist recognized who his help came from. He also knew something about the capabilities of the one who was  the source of his supply. His help came from God. God created heaven and earth.

In Isaiah 26:3, the Bible says "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Why would we have perfect peace when we keep our minds on God because of our trust in Him? When we never let our minds slip and never forget that God is our help, and when we know how mighty He is, we can rest. When we are truly depending on Him with an awareness of His power, we can be at peace. It is only when we depend on ourselves, other people or some other inferior power that we will be agitated, uneasy and fretful.           ·

Let us examine where our minds are today. If we are not in perfect peace, it is time to call time out. We must make the adjustments necessary to get our minds on God, His greatness and His relationship with us.

I will take notice of my state of mind. If I am troubled about anything, I will make an adjustment and begin to meditate on God, His greatness and His relationship with me.
