Day 119
Psalm 32:8
"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
God has promised us instructions and teaching while we are on our journey in this life. We must expect to receive through the different methods He has given us. Jesus once said "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." If we are not expecting something, we can easily miss it. We can hear sounds and words, but miss what God is saying, because we are not anticipating his guidance.
In Psalm 32:8, the Lord said He would guide us with His eye. A stationary object cannot be guided. If we do not get in motion, we cannot be led. Sometimes, we will never know if we have chosen the right direction until we leave the place we are currently in. While we are progressing, we will sense the eye of the Lord approving or disapproving of our movement.
We must not be afraid to make a move. God is very liberal with wisdom and guidance. It is for His own name's sake that He freely gives instruction. We can only become proficient in following the Lord by stepping out and learning His voice, and His methods of divine guidance. He will always guide us perfectly, but we must learn how to flow perfectly with Him. The top of the ladder is reached one step at a time. Let us begin, or continue climbing today. We will, as we pray and fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I will listen for and receive teaching, instruction and guidance from God today. He will lead me, and I will follow.
