"There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. We love, because He first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen." -1 John 4:18-20 AMP
God is love and true love literally drives out fear. We should have a desire to represent Christ and do the same as His ambassadors here on earth. Only God can truly transform and perfect us in His perfect love because He IS love. Once this is done we are better qualified as His ambassadors.
May God help us not to be hypocritical in our expressions of love to you by truly loving our brothers and sisters that we see here on earth every day. Thank you Lord for your love God! Give us a clean heart (Psalm 51:10) and perfect those areas that concern us (Psalm 138:8).
