When we follow the commands of Christ, we better position ourselves to be under His covering. We have God’s promise for protection, and that He’ll answer us and be with us and deliver us in the midst of circumstance if we ‘love’ Him; and how do we express our love to God? We do it by following His commands (John 14:23). God loves us unconditionally and desires only the best for us, but let’s do introspection on our lives and ask God to show us whether we have been obedient with the last set of instructions He has given us and make any adjustments that are needed as a result. It’s incredible that we serve such a faithful God and that we can find comfort in His protection (spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc.) and all the other benefits of our relationship with Him.
