There are times in the Bible when God tells us to forget things from the past, and there are times when He tells us to remember them. He may tell us to forget the past because there are better things ahead. He may tell us to remember the past because replaying past victories can strengthen our faith and strengthen our resolve. Past victories remind us of how God came through before when things looked impossible. Whatever God has done in the past, He can do it again. We must be willing to forget the past when it comes to our failures and shortcomings. We must also be willing to remember the miracles and the breakthroughs. They remind us that God has not changed. If He did it before, He can do it again.
