Words are very important. Many of us know the importance of words and how they are a creative force. Words are also important because of the effect that they have on other people. Words can wound. Words can uplift. Our words should be used to uplift and build up others. The Bible tells us that sweet water and bitter water should not come out of the same fountain (James 3:11). We should be careful what we say to people because as believers, we want to always build people up, and not tear them down. Let’s be careful how we use our words today. It could be the one thing that motivates a person who is on the verge of giving up, to keep going. Let’s make a decision to bring hope to people not hurt.
