God’s desire for His people is that they have life. Not just life, but “life more abundantly” (John 10:10). A part of experiencing that life is to watch what we are saying. Our words can be a well of life, but it can also be a well of death. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve only knew good. When they partook of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they died spiritually, but they also started speaking death. Humanity has been doing it ever since; and unfortunately, they are still speaking death over their finances, their health, their relationships and anything else that is of significance or importance. We must speak life. We must speak the Word of God over our lives. By doing so we are opening the door for God to pour out His goodness upon us and to experience the life that Jesus came to give us. As we continue to speak life, that life will manifest; and we will eventually have what we say, if we do not doubt it in our hearts (Mark 11:23).
