It is important to always walk in humility. The Bible tells us that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (I Peter 5:5). We must endeavor to not overestimate our importance. We must acknowledge that promotion comes from the Lord. We must allow God to bring us before great men and women. We must not think so highly of ourselves that we arbitrarily assume that we are on a level that no one thinks that we are on. It is better for someone to invite us to socialize and interact with great people, than to assume that we are on that level and force our way into those circles. It is better for someone to invite you to the head table than to assume that you belong there. God is the judge. He can elevate one and put down another. Let's let God do that. When we are ready to go to that next level, He will take us there. Let's not elevate ourselves. Leave it to God.
