God’s ways are higher than ours. He gave us His Word so that we can go up higher in Him and in life. God desires for our lives to get better. The Word of God tells us that “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). Our path (lives) is to get brighter and brighter (better and better). It starts with keeping God’s commandments. Now we aren’t just talking about the ten commandments (that is a great place to start though), we are talking about being a doer of the Word of God. Whatever God tells us to do in His Word, we do it. When He tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves, we love our neighbors. When He tells us to come out from among them (the world) and be separate, that is what we do. It is always to our advantage to obey God. This is how we keep our lives.
