📖 “Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).” -Colossians 3:23-24 AMPC

When a man or woman accepts Jesus into their heart, they obtain “citizenship” in Heaven; that’s just one award or benefit they receive when they faithfully serve their Lord Jesus Christ. As followers of Christ, it’s important that we never forget that, on a personal level, God can and will give us divine insight and guidance on how to accomplish a task more efficiently and effectively. He will give us the right words to say (Proverbs 25:11) for any given situation AND give us favor when and where we need it. So, don’t lose sight of Whom you represent. He’s got your back, but it brings Him great joy when you represent Him accurately and allow Him to lead you. So, perform every task with a “spirit of excellence”. That means that we “put our best foot forward” (whether anyone else is around or not) because we know that in whatever task we perform, we serve as ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). So let’s make Him proud today.
