📖 “The backslider in heart [from God and from fearing God] shall be filled with [the fruit of] his own ways, and a good man shall be satisfied with [the fruit of] his ways [with the holy thoughts and actions which his heart prompts and in which he delights]." -Proverbs 14:14 Amplified Bible Classic Edition
There is an old saying that you “reap what you sow”. Just like we must be satisfied with the fruit of our words, we must also be satisfied with the fruit of our ways. There are positive consequences when our ways please the Lord. One Scripture tells us that when our ways please Lord, He will make our enemies to be at peace with us. Our ways or our behavior is simply a reflection of the condition of the heart. The Word tells us that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Well, out of the abundance of the heart, we act. When love is in our hearts in abundance, we will act and react in love. Your actions are seeds just like your words are seeds. What you sow, you will eventually reap. We must endeavor to follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
