God is so much smarter than us. Many times, things aren’t as clear cut as they appear. Many times, there are things that we have not considered. Sure, the Israelites would have loved to have wiped all their enemies out in a short period of time. They wanted God to take care of them all at once, instead of fighting multiple battles. God’s plan was better than what they could possibly desire. They probably did not think about the animals that were in the wilderness with them nor did they take into consideration that the animals could potentially consume them had they done things differently. God said He would clear them out little by little because this was the best way. When it comes to our lives, we must allow God’s thoughts to take precedence over ours. We must recognize that His ways are higher than our ways. God knows what is best for us. We must simply trust Him, if we are going to experience His best for our lives.
