God bestowed authority on Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. That authority was lost when they ate of the fruit that God had told them not to eat. Jesus restored that authority through His death, burial, and resurrection. When God gave Adam and Eve authority, He told them to take control of the earth and to rule. God has not changed His mind. The Bible tells us that He has made us kings and priests unto our God (Revelation 1:6). Kings rule. No one challenges the king’s authority. God expects us to rule and reign in the earth. He has given us authority over Satan and every demonic force. He has also given us a Name that is above every name: the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us that “at that name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:10). Walk in your authority today. There isn’t anything that you will encounter, that your authority and the Name of Jesus cannot handle.
