There’s something about the presence of the Lord. The Bible tells us that is His presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). The Bible also tells us that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). When God is with us, He causes remarkable things to happen in our lives. This text reminds us that the presence of God brings refreshment. It brings to mind the Scripture in Isaiah that tells us that “those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint “(Isaiah 40:31). Notice at the beginning of the text that it tells us to repent so that our sins may be wiped away. It is our sins that separate us from God. We must resist sin and understand the destruction that it causes. We should value our relationship with God to the point that we would be willing to remove any and everything that would come between us and God. Our success comes through walking with God daily. Let us not take our relationship with God for granted. In His presence is times of refreshing and restoration.
