πŸ“– β€œAnd [Jesus] entered Jericho and was passing through it. And there was a man called Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector, and [he was] rich. And he was trying to see Jesus, which One He was, but he could not on account of the crowd, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up in a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass that way. And when Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today. So he hurried and came down, and he received and welcomed Him joyfully.” -Luke 19:1-6 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Zacchaeus had a fervent desire. His desire led to action. He wanted to see Jesus, but he had two things working against him: the size of the crowd and he was short in stature. Zaccheus did not allow these obstacles to hinder him from achieving his objective. He wanted to see Jesus! Zaccheus ran ahead of the crowd and climbed a tree so that he could see Jesus. Not only did Jesus see Zaccheus, but He also came to his house and spent time with him at his house. Zaccheus was rewarded for his diligence. The Bible even tells us that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Zaccheus did not allow his obstacles to stop him from the goal. He was persistent, and he was determined. We must have the same disposition. We must continue to act until we have accomplished the task. We must keep moving forward until we accomplish the goal. All things are possible to them that believe.
