📖 “And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross. And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of the hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence.” ⎯Colossians 1:20-22 Amplified Bible Classic Edition
Reconciliation is a theme that runs all throughout the New Testament. God wanted to reconcile the world back to Himself, so He sent Jesus to the earth to redeem mankind. Those of us who have made Jesus the Lord of our lives have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We are to tell people that God has reconciled them back to Him and that they simply have to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Jesus has done all the work to redeem mankind. It cost Him His blood, but it was through the blood that we obtained peace with God. At one time we were estranged from him, but now we are righteous. We can stand before God as if we have never sinned.
