Nehemiah and his men were busy at work rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem to protect it against their enemies. In the process, regular troublemakers Sanballat, Tobiah and their gang showed up trying to distract them from their assignment. Oftentimes, it’s this way in our daily lives. God may reveal your purpose to you and even give you instructions to fulfill the vision that He’s assigned you to be busy on [whether it appears to be on a large or small scale].
As believers, God wants us to not only be a constant source of encouragement, love and kindness to one another in spirit, but we should never take for granted the physical opportunity we have to ourselves to do just that. This, of course, applies as we enter the house of God on Sundays or Wednesday, but it’s also the case throughout the week as we interact with one another. We need God, and we each other. May we rejoice this morning as a family of believers. trusting and believing that He will continue to guide us and give us wisdom throughout the day today.

Those who put their trust in the Lord can depend on Him for security, protection and peace of mind. He desires to cover you from hurt and harm both physically, spiritually and even emotionally, if needed. In the midst of any tough situations or your enemies, it’s a miraculous thing to know that because you have sought safe shelter in your Father inwardly, you can always stand confidently outwardly.
🤲 Your life is in His hands. So trust that those same capable hands will guide you where you need to go. They will provide you with whatever He has called you to (Philippians 4:19). He is faithful, and He’s got you!
What type of man or woman would you say that you are? Is your conversation overflowing with good or evil? We may be able to fool others for a period of time, but eventually, what’s inside will eventually come out - good or bad - because our words are indicative of the true condition of our heart. Thoughts will become words and then words eventually translate into actions, so be careful about what you allow to be stored in your heart. Only you have the authority to determine whether the conversations you’re a part of, the music or shows you watch, the material you read glorifies God and mines good treasure or bad in your heart.
🗣” Create in me a clean heart God (Psalm 51:10) so that my words do not deceive or misrepresent You as your child. I desire for the treasure in my heart to honor you so that my thoughts are good, lovely and pure (Philippians 4:8), so give me wisdom and discernment on the things that I’m exposing myself to daily. Thank you Lord for your love and grace to send the Holy Spirit as my Helper, so that I may honor you in word and deed. Amen.”
🤔 God was already aware of your arrival, and the thought of you even then brought Him joy (v.17)! God, your Creator (Inventor) has created you for His own unique purpose and plans, so don’t grow weary of taking the time to review His Instruction Manual for your operation (assignment) here on earth.
🙌 The Holy Spirit will help bring understanding and revelation on the application of those instructions He’s given and how they apply to your life. There is literally no one else on this earth that has been equipped with the same gifts, talents, personalities, etc. that you have been, so thank God for the portion He has entrusted to you. Selah and smile. You are loved and one-of-a-kind!
🙏 When we stay connected to God, and follow and remain committed to Christ, we experience rest for our souls. Jesus could have been boastful and harsh because of all His mighty exploits, but He chose instead to walk in humility and to deal gently with our hearts. As followers of Christ, we should not only be concerned about sharing the Gospel, but we should have a desire to emulate His character, honoring Him in all we do. God will renew and refresh our souls, if we’ll allow Him to transform us from the inside out and provide us with the peace that only He can provide. Rest IN Him.

Go to God (vs.6) and accept HIS peace today - it’s unfathomable to the human mind! Let it His peace stand guard at the door of your heart and mind against worry, doubts, anxiety, fear, hate, malice, bitterness and anything else that opposes the nature of God or the fruits of the Spirit from operating in your life. Keep your stayed (focused) on Him and have a blessed day today.

🙌🏼 When we are careful to honor and obey God’s Word and to follow His plan and purpose for our lives, we are the most fulfilled. Furthermore, when we trust His leading, we will always eventually find that we are not alone. We gain strength because our obedience brings happiness and joy - His joy IS our strength!
Continue to meditate on God’s Word daily. His Word helps us to get a better understanding of His heart and will. Remember: TRUE happiness can be found as you follow His path for your life, and the more you stay connected to Him [in prayer and through meditating on His Word], the clearer His direction will become.
🗣 Confess: “I know the voice of my Heavenly Father, and the voice of a stranger, I don’t recognize. God, I will trust the plans you have for my life!”

If we are believers and followers of Christ, we have the privilege of knowing and serving the all-knowing, all-powerful Creator of the Universe! Despite His power and all the splendor of His majesty (Psalm 145:5), He is a loving Father to His children.
He cares deeply for you and deals well with those that follow His Word. He will give you insight and discernment to deal wisely in all of your affairs. So, place all of your confidence in Him and keep your mind stayed on Him throughout the day. He will sustain you and provide you with His “perfect” peace (John 14:27) through it all. #TrustHim

Regardless of how intellectually esteemed we may deem ourselves to be, it’s imperative for the believer to be totally dependent on the wisdom of God. To put confidence in anything else would be foolish, and the rotten fruits of that poor decision-making and pride will eventually bear witness in our lives.
The Word of God always encourages us to trust God and not to lean to our own understanding, regardless of how knowledgeable we may think we are in the process of our decision-making (Proverbs 3:5-6). God desires to give us “skillful and godly wisdom” - insight that we may not have been privy to otherwise. So, stay connected into your Spiritual Headquarters by praying in the Spirit. It’s your Father’s desire to give you direction and guidance for your life as you seek His will for your life. God’s got your back. Put your confidence in Him. #selah #devotional
The level of confidence and faith that we have in God will ultimately reveal itself through our actions and words. We serve the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords, who holds all power in His hand (Daniel 2:47, Matthew 28:18)! There’s no one who can compare to Him…period!
So, when we see through His Word that He instructs us to be strong and courageous, we should be honored and rejoice in that Truth because it reveals His love for us and the delegated authority that we can walk in as believers. God has not and will not abandon you. His arm is not short (Isaiah 59:1), and He is well able to see you through. Trust His plans for your life and the instructions that He has given to you. They are safe with Him, and He will not fail.

When our focus is on representing our Heavenly Father well here on earth, then we will do our best to ensure that our “good name” is intact. How else can we properly represent a God so powerful and faithful? When we have a good name or reputation, whether on the job, with a lender or within your respective communities, you are looked upon more favorably and better opportunities will come your way. Oftentimes, the amount of what is saved or given to you when you have the favor of God is on your life is of greater value to you in the end, whether it’s received monetarily or in some other form.
🙏 God, please give us the wisdom, strength and direction to represent you properly in our behavior, deeds and thoughts. Thank you for the favor that you have given us so freely and surrounded us with (Psalm 5:2). We are forever grateful for your love for us.

Christianity isn’t just a mere religion, it’s much more than that. It’s an intimate relationship with the Creator of the Universe - with the Creator of all mankind. Our salvation through Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, and from sin and death; but, the benefits of our relationship with the Heavenly Father don’t just stop there.
He desires to order our steps (Psalm 119:133), give us wisdom, guidance and discernment, as we keep our Spirit in tune with Him. Trust Him with the plans and purpose that He has ordained for your life only. We have the privilege of coming boldly into His presence at any time (Hebrews 4:16) and receiving His joy in the process. So, don’t neglect or take advantage of the perks of that relationship daily, starting today. Go to Him. He loves you!

We can put our confidence in the fact that if our requests please and honor God, that He will not only hear those prayers, but He will respond (1 John 5:14-15, Isaiah 65:24, John 14:14) . So, remove any doubt, un-forgiveness and ask God to reveal any other hindrances. Then wait patiently on God. You can depend on the Lord. He will never fail you! Rest IN Him this morning.
