JULY 2020 Devotional-17.png

When we accept God’s gift of salvation to us and fully surrender our lives to Him and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, we position God to be able to lead our steps and direct our lives. We are His responsibility, and there is no detail too small or insignificant to Him.⁣

He has a unique purpose for your life and just like the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5), He desires to set you apart for His use. Don’t waste any more time worrying about the affairs of your life. God’s got you, and He’s sent the Holy Spirit - your Helper (John 14:26) - to help guide you every step of the way. Rest in Him and in His love for you. Commit to take the time to listen to your spirit man and trust His guidance throughout the day.

Regardless of the circumstance - GOOD or BAD - there is power in our praise. We serve a faithful God, and in His hands is the power to change any situation. He is definitely worthy of our praise and when we exalt God, we put Him in the proper perspective - above and greater than the circumstance. Because He’s a Good Father, He also graces us with favor. So praise Him through and in the middle of it! He’s more than able to bring you through. ⁣He is faithful to His children.⁣

😌 Even when we feel that we are confident in the path and purpose that we are walking in, it’s imperative that we take the time daily to check in with our Heavenly Father - the developer of that purpose - to ensure that our steps are still aligned. 📖 We are reminded in God’s Word to continue to place our confidence in God instead of our intelligence or experience. So trust in God’s plans for your life both in your day-to-day and long term interactions and planning. God is faithful, and He will establish and make sure His plans for your life. ⁣

🙏 When we stay connected to God, following and remaining committed to Christ, we experience inner peace. While Jesus could have been boastful and harsh because of all His mighty exploits, He chose instead to walk in humility and to deal gently with our hearts.

As believers or followers of Christ, we should not only be concerned about sharing the Gospel, but we should have a desire to emulate His character and to honor Him in all we do. God will renew and refresh our souls, if we’ll allow Him to transform us from the inside out and provide us with the peace that only He can provide. Rest IN Him. ⁣⁣

🗣Your words have POWER! Ask God to guard the door of your mouth (Psalm 141:3). You are a child of the Most High God and redeemed from the curse of the law. Speak to your situation and confess positive things over your life. Think on good things (Philippians 4:8), then speak life. Remember again that your words frame your world! Have a blessed day.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣

🤔 Have you forgotten that God has literally given you all that you need to live your life victoriously? The more time we spend “at His feet” and meditating on His Word, we get to know Him better thus making it easier to conform to His ways. He sent His Son Jesus so that you could be reconciled with Him, delivered and set free from any sickness, disease, bondage or baggage. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

He’s made you MORE than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). He is your protection and covering, so you have nothing to fear (Psalm 91:4). If you need wisdom and direction, you have access to the Holy Spirit - your Helper - and you only have to ask Him (James 1:5). In and through the mighty power of God, you will find the strength you need to fulfill every task before you today (Ephesians 6:10, Philippians 4:13)! So hold your head up and walk humbly and confidently in the divine power that God has been given you!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣

When we walk in humility and cast down any cares, pride or anxieties that we may have at the feet of Jesus, we better position ourselves for our Father to watch and protect us. In fact, it’s His desire to honor us as we serve and represent His Kingdom. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Besides, if we were really equipped to carry all of the load ourselves, we wouldn’t be encouraged time and time again in God’s Word to give them to God. God knows best for your life so stay connected to Him for wisdom and direction as you allow Him to lead your life. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you⁣.⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣

Just as you read in the passage above, It is still God’s desire for us to put ALL of our faith in Him. After all, the fear and reverence of God is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7), right? We cannot access true wisdom - Godly wisdom - without God. God is all powerful. There’s nothing too hard for Him, and no one who can stand against Him (Romans 8:31). So, before you consult your intellect on making an important decision today, instead, trust God for His wisdom, wait for His guidance and place your confidence in Him. #HeIsAble⁣⁣

🙌 Good morning new mercies! God has has blessed you with an entirely new set of them today. He is faithful and because of His faithfulness, we can be faith FULL (we can put our hope in Him). He is dependable and consistent, and His heart towards us is compassionate. So never tire seeking God’s direction and/or walking in His purpose for your life. If you’ve missed the mark, His grace is sufficient; if you’ve hit it, it’s still only because of His grace. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Take the time to reflect on and thank God for His love for you this morning. Everything that belongs to us - OUR will, OUR dreams, OUR vision, OUR plans should always align with the One Who holds ownership of our body. As long as we have breath in our bodies, we have the unique privilege of being the holy dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Yet, we are not the land “lords” because unlike the earthly landlords, we may be accustomed to, this omnipotent Tenant has Lord-ship over our lives and over the very earth that our temple treads. He is omniscient, and He runs the show; yet His very name and presence exudes love and grace.⁣⁣

🙌 Regardless of what is on your schedule for today or what you may be facing, never forget that the Greater One abides inside of you, and you are more than equipped for the task. Rest IN Him and check in with Him throughout the day for wisdom and instructions. After all, He’s not too far away…He’s right inside [of you]. 😉⁣⁣⁣⁣

Like Paul (the author of the book of Galatians), let's commit to being servants and ambassadors of Christ. Regardless of whether we are accepted by man, we can find joy and comfort in the fact that the Creator of the universe has approved us and called us His own. As you represent Him and commit to obeying His will and directions for your life, He will give you the peace, favor and comfort that you need every step of the way. Let Him lead your life.⁣

Lighten your load this morning! God is willing and able to give you the strength that you need (physical, emotional, etc.) all while taking on any burdens you’ve been toting around as well! ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Unlike any “experienced” human hiking guide, our Heavenly Father has the ability to lead us and hold us up. With a steady arm, He firmly navigates us through any difficulties (inclines) during this hike that we call Life. Miraculously, He can also handle carrying any burdens, concerns or anxieties that we may have in the process, if we’ll just release them to Him. So, rest IN Him. #HesGotYou⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

What have you fixed your eyes on lately? For the believer, it should be our heart to want to mimic the attitude, the character - the behavior of our Heavenly Father. If we have accepted Christ in our heart, then we are God’s children, and He doesn’t want us to waste time being anxious over the cares of this world. ⁣ ⁣ Our attitude and character should mirror our Fathers. So “seek” after the Kingdom of God and His ways. Come against worry and fear in the name of Jesus! You are in His hands and when you busy yourself with His business (Kingdom business), He’ll take care of yours. Release it to God and REST in Him.⁣⁣
