DAILY DEVOTIONAL | November 1st

SEPT OCT 2020 Devotional.gif

As we prepare our hearts and minds for service this morning, let us remember that God wants us to not only be a constant source of encouragement, love and kindness to one another in spirit, but we should never take for granted the physical opportunity we have to ourselves to do just that. We need God, and we each other. May we rejoice as we walk in - unified - through His gates this morning, trusting and believing that He will continue to help us grow both individually and collectively, as a body (Psalm 138:8) as we walk .⁣⁣

Our thoughts will eventually become words and then those words will eventually translate into actions. So be careful about the type of treasure you allow to be stored in your heart. Only you have the authority to determine whether the conversations you’re a part of, the music or shows you watch, the material you read glorifies God and mines good treasure or bad in your heart.⁣

💛🙏 Create in me a clean heart God (Psalm 51:10) so that my words do not deceive or misrepresent You as I am your child. I desire to honor you so that my thoughts are good, lovely and pure (Philippians 4:8). Give me wisdom and discernment on what I’m exposing myself to daily. Thank you Lord for your love and grace to send the Holy Spirit as my Helper so that I may honor you in word and deed. Amen.⁣

Never take for granted the fact that God’s plans and purpose for your life were pre-ordained for your life before you were even formed in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). ⁣⁣

Your gifts, talents and all of the days of your life were thought out and outlined. So, it only makes sense to consult with the One who thought you valuable enough, not only to give His all for you (John 3:16), but to map out your purpose. He will order your steps and lead you on that path if you put your confidence in Him, being careful to keep your spirit man built up so that you hear and obey His voice. Check in with the One with the ‘Master Plan’ for your life. He never tires of hearing from you…in fact, He’s waiting!⁣⁣

Not only is His strength made perfect in our weakness, but He honors our obedience. He is pleased when we step out and trust Him even when circumstances are beyond our control, and we don’t quite understand how things will work out (Hebrews 11:6). Most importantly, when God gets the glory, and it is evident that it is Him and not ourselves that have accomplished a feat, it puts the focus on God. Then He closes the deal by drawing that man or woman’s heart to Himself; and that’s what it’s all about if we are His ambassadors here on earth, right? Be blessed!⁣

The more time we spend “at His feet” and meditating on His Word, we get to know Him better thus making it easier to conform to His ways. He sent His Son Jesus so that you could be reconciled with Him, delivered and set free from any sickness, disease, bondage or baggage. He’s made you MORE than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). He is your protection and covering, so you have nothing to fear (Psalm 91:4). ⁣

If you need wisdom and direction, you have access to the Holy Spirit - your Helper - and you only have to ask Him (James 1:5). In and through the mighty power of God, you will find the strength you need to fulfill every task before you today (Ephesians 6:10, Philippians 4:13)! So hold your head up and walk humbly and confidently in the divine power that God has been given you on this Happy Sunday!⁣⁣

🏃‍♀️ 🏃🏾‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃 We can run to God for protection both in the physical and spiritual realm. A shield is strong and impenetrable just like our Father. He will protect you from any danger seen or unseen; He will keep you from the wiles of the enemy. Accept His peace today knowing that there is safety in His arms. Regardless of any circumstance that you may be experiencing today, He is more than able to keep you from any harm, and the peace (John 14:27) that He also provides in the process is unbothered by the “storms” of life. So rest. He loves you!

🙌 On this #FlashbackFriday we are grateful for Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross over 2,000 years ago! We have been brought near to God and made one with Him (v.13-14), even though previously, sin separated us from God. Thank God that He brought the Gospel (the Good News) to us whether we were Jew or Greek. He thought about it, and counted each and every one of us worthy of saving and redeeming from the curse of the Law BEFORE we were even formed in our mother’s womb. 🤔 ⁣ ⁣

Think about it: What great love God has to have for us, right? Never doubt your worth or value to your Creator. He has shown us time and time again through His Word and through His actions, that we are loved, cherished and the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8, Psalm 17:8)! You have access to your Father today through the Holy Spirit. Don’t take it for granted. Stir up the gift and stay sensitive to your Father’s direction today. Have a blessed day!⁣ ⁣

Children of the Most High God are a part of His family, and their home is the Kingdom of God. They are focused on and pursue those things that satisfy the Spirit and the customs of their homeland. As God’s children, we have to keep our minds focused on Him and the things that are a priority of our Father. ⁣⁣

Remember His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9), so keep your mind set on things that are of a concern for Him. He knows best for you and how it fits into His purpose for your life. #YouAreLoved⁣⁣⁣

Some refer to today (Wednesday) as hump day and oftentimes, it comes with negative connotations, but as believers, let’s not forget that our loving Heavenly Father honors those who exalt and worship Him in every situation, regardless of the day of the week.

Regardless of the circumstance - GOOD or BAD - there is power in our praise. We serve a faithful God, and He holds all power in His hands. He is definitely worthy of our praise, and when we exalt God, we put Him in the proper perspective - above and greater than the circumstance. On top of all that, because He’s a Good Father, He also graces us with favor. So praise through it! He’s more than able to bring you through. ⁣

This verse offers us a colorful description of how we should receive any direction or leading from the Holy Spirit and every word that God has spoken to us through His Word [the Bible]. If He says that you are the righteousness of God, redeemed and set free, then that’s settles it: that IS who you are…NEXT! If He says that He’s given you the victory and that you have favor with Him and man, then it’s settled. Walk in obedience and trust His direction every step of the way. It’s past time that we let it “sink in” and “go to the bottom” of our hearts and minds: IT’S SETTLED. I don’t need a Plan B, I can depend on God. He is faithful, and His promises are sure (2 Corinthians 1:20). #ItsSettled #TrustGod AND #Rest⁣⁣⁣

🤔 Just as He was with His servant Joshua, we can rest assured that God is with us too - only, the Holy Spirit lives IN us (1 Corinthians 6:19). When we receive instructions from the Lord, we have nothing to fear. ⁣

God is with us, and “They that be with us is greater than they that be with them” (2 Kings 6:16, Hebrews 13:6)! God has given you the wisdom, insight, favor and the POWER (2 Timothy 1:7) to accomplish all that He’s called you to. 🙌 Our Heavenly Father desires for our relationship with Him to not be a stagnant. Nope. He desires for your relationship with Him to be organic. It’s His heart that we are constantly growing, strengthening and reaffirming our faith and confidence in Him, knowing that He’ll never fail us.

In essence, our goals, dreams and desires should be so deeply intertwined with His plans for our lives that it becomes second nature to consult with Him to make sure they stay aligned. The more we trust and obey Him and that we see Him prove Himself time and time again, the more our faith is strengthened. Start your day off thanking Him for His faithfulness to you AND exercising your faith so that I can be strengthened. #HeWontFail

The level of our confidence and faith in God will ultimately reveal itself through our actions and words. We serve the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords, who holds all power in His hand (Daniel 2:47, Matthew 28:18) ! NONE can compare to Him…period! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So, when we see through His Word that He instructs us to be strong and courageous, we should be honored in rejoice in that Truth because it reveals God’s love for us and the delegated authority that we can walk in us believers. God has not and will not abandon you. His arm is not short (Isaiah 59:1), and He is well able to see you through. Trust His plans for your life and the instructions He has given to you. They are safe with Him, and He will not fail. ⁣⁣⁣

As believers - God’s children - we don’t have to rely on our own intellect and knowledge to exercise good judgement. We only have to confidently ask God for wisdom, and He’ll give it to us (James 1:5). It’s that simple! Godly wisdom provides revelation on how to apply earthly knowledge. It helps us to perceive what what we may not have otherwise understood based on our limited knowledge of situations.⁣

We have a Good Father! We don’t have to continuously bump our heads because of bad decision-making. God has given us what we need to do the exact opposite. The Holy Spirit is our Helper (John 14:26), and He desires to give insight to us on even the seemingly insignificant affairs of our life. This is so that our decision making can be wise and pleasing to our Heavenly Father. So remember today to: Pray…Pause…Wait for Direction, Then Act. ⁣
