DAILY DEVOTIONAL | October 14th

You can tell from David’s reflections in the twenty third psalm that He was convinced that the Lord desires to lead His children every step of the way in our personal lives. Shepherds LEAD their flock every step of the way. The Good Shepherd LEADS us beside peaceful streams (He doesn’t want us anxious or to fret about anything; He wants us to rest IN Him. Philippians 4:6). He GUIDES you and directs your steps to walk in the will and purpose that He desires for your life (Psalm 37:23). Even when we may find ourselves going through tough times or in the presence of company that is ill willed against us, our Good Shepherd gives us perfect peace and never leaves our side (John 14:27)! 
Let God lead your life. He only desires the best for you (Psalm 139:17). So find comfort in His love for you today and don’t forget to stir up the gift by praying in tongues throughout the day.

Not only is His strength made perfect in our weakness, but He honors our obedience. He is pleased when we step out and trust Him even when circumstances are beyond our control, and we don’t quite understand how things will work out (Hebrews 11:6). Most importantly, when God gets the glory, and it is evident that it is Him and not ourselves that have accomplished a feat, it puts the focus on God. Then He closes the deal by drawing that man or woman’s heart to Himself; and that’s what it’s all about if we are His ambassadors here on earth, right? Be blessed!⁣⁣⁣

🗣Your words have POWER! Make a conscious effort today to speak life and not death over yourself, your family, friends and loved ones. Let your first words today be ones of thanksgiving to God for the gift of life this morning (1 Chronicles 16:34); but, make sure that before you think about the current circumstances of your life - good or bad - you examine what you say, if you should say anything at all. ⁣⁣

Ask God to guard the door of your mouth (Psalm 141:3). You are a child of the Most High God and redeemed from the curse of the law. Speak to your situation and confess positive things over your life. Think on good things (Philippians 4:8), then speak life. Remember again that your words frame your world! Have a blessed day.⁣⁣

The more we hear the God’s Word, the easier it is for us to familiarize ourselves and connect to His heart. The more we hear His heart and desires and actually obey His instruction, the more our faith grows (Romans 10:17). The more our faith builds, the easier it is for us to walk and operate in it as a way of life, and when we do this, our Father is pleased and proud of us (Hebrews 11:6)! Walking in God’s unique purpose for YOUR life demands putting your confidence in Him completely. So stay connected to Him and practice hearing and obeying all that He’s instructed you to do. If God said it, that settles it. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “settle” as “to fix or resolve conclusively; to establish or secure permanently; to sink gradually or to the bottom; to come to rest." ⁣⁣

This offers us a colorful description of how we should receive any direction or leading from the Holy Spirit and every word that God has spoken to us through His Word [the Bible]. If He says that you are the righteousness of God, redeemed and set free, then that’s settles it. That IS who you are…period! If He says that He’s given you the victory and that you have favor with Him and man, then it’s settled, you do. ⁣

Walk in obedience and trust His direction every step of the way. It’s past time that we let it “sink in” and “go to the bottom” of our hearts and minds: IT’S SETTLED. 🗣 “I don’t need a Plan B, I can depend on God.” He is faithful, and His promises are sure (2 Corinthians 1:20). #ItsSettled #TrustGod AND #Rest⁣⁣⁣
