DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 6th

When our focus is on representing our Heavenly Father well here on earth, then we will do our best to ensure that our “good name” is intact. How else can we properly represent a God so powerful and faithful? When we have a good name or reputation, whether on the job, with a lender or within your respective communities, you are looked upon more favorably and better opportunities will come your way. Oftentimes, the amount of what is saved or given to you when you have the favor of God is on your life is of greater value to you in the end, whether it’s received monetarily or in some other form. ⁣⁣

🙏 May God give us the wisdom, strength and direction to represent Him properly in our behavior, deeds and thoughts. We are forever grateful for your love for us, God.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 5th

🙌 If we have accepted Christ in our heart, then we are God’s CHILDREN and therefore, His responsibility. He doesn’t want us to waste time being anxious over the cares of this world. Our attitude and character should mirror our Fathers. So “seek” after the Kingdom of God and His ways, and He’ll provide (Philippians 4:19).

Come against worry and fear in the name of Jesus! You are in His hands and when you busy yourself with His business (Kingdom business), He’ll take care of yours. Release it to Him and REST. Happy Friday!⁣

This is your reminder to stop fighting battles in the natural realm! Lean into the spiritual resources that God has given you, and let Him do all the dirty work in defeating your enemy. God has provided spiritual armor that will cause you to stand firm in the face of adversity. The Word of God instructs us to not only put on this armor as an act of our will but to continue standing through tests and trials, even when we’ve done all that we know to do in this natural realm.

Clothing yourself in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-17) will fortify your spirit man on difficult days and protect you from opposition on every side. As you get dressed today, don’t forget your armor. You are more than a conqueror. Go in peace and victory!

There is no need to wallow in your imperfections or to continue worrying about past sins. Even your most recent failures are no match for the GOOD work that God has begun in you. Just as the word instructs for us to do: be CONFIDENT today in the fact that God is still working on you and will continue to do so until the day that we reach ultimate perfection through the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! God remains faithful to His Word and that Word never returns to Him void. Whatever He has said about you MUST come to pass. Hold fast to that promise and allow the spirit of God to take you from glory to glory.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 1st

The only way that we truly know how to love God, love ourselves, and love others is through the sacrifice that God made when He sent Jesus to die in our place. Jesus received the penalty of sin for us in compliance with God’s plan to reconcile us to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). In a nutshell, it is God’s love that teaches us how to love. Apart from Him, we are nothing, we can do nothing. Everything good in us is because of Him. Be sure to freely give of that love today just as it was freely given to you.

Do you ever feel like the Lord is far away? Psalm 145:18 reassures us that He certainly is not, no matter what may tell us otherwise. At times in our lives, we may fail to call upon Him or ask for help due to pride, fear, or confusion, but our only response to a scripture like this should be gladness! We should be GLAD that He has promised to be near to us, be GLAD that He will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). When we go to Him on the basis of His Word, there is NOTHING that He won’t do for us. Call upon Him today in every area where you desire for Him to be near and watch Him move!

As you embark upon this brand new day, do so with confidence, knowing that God is on your side and there is nothing that you should fear! Remember that the Lord is your very present help today so lean on Him whenever you feel tired or weak, rely on Him for tasks that may seem too difficult, and trust Him with whatever comes your way. You don’t have to try and do everything in your own power, just be still and know that being in close fellowship with Him will by default bring about success and victory in your life! No one can bypass the hand of God that is on your life, not even Satan, so walk boldly in the promises of protection and peace that this verse provides.

Every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17) and that includes abundance and overflow in the area of our finances. He gets the credit for taking us from one level of glory to the next and when we love Him like we say we do, we will be sure to honor Him through our giving. Romans 8 tells us that God didn’t even spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all AND He is continuing to freely give us all things! Wow, how can we not honor a God like that? Giving back to God can be done in many different ways, starting with giving our lives back to Him, but we challenge you today to make sure you’re not withholding any areas of your life from the only true and living God. May God freely receive from us - just as He has freely given.

Let this verse, written to us in love, be a gentle reminder to live soberly today. The previous chapter ends with just a few of God’s promises for those that choose to “Come out from them and be separate…” (2 Corinthians 6:17). When we allow God to truly be a father to us, it makes it easier to choose Him, His ways, and His will over everything, through every temptation and in the face of every test. The Bible encourages us to take responsibility for our own actions in purifying ourselves and cleaning up the areas of our lives that we know are not pleasing to God. Yes, Jesus laid down His life as the ultimate sacrifice for us but let’s never take that for granted by assuming that we have no part to play in our sanctification. Let us become a student of the grace that teaches us to live right! Selah.

God is so full of mercy and ready to receive us back into His arms when we’ve strayed away from Him. The scripture says that He is “abounding in love to ALL who call” on Him. Abounding means “very plentiful” and “abundant” which gives us a better understanding of how much love He has to go around - and that love is not just for certain individuals! The love of God doesn’t discriminate! It is for ANY and EVERYONE without any specific conditions, qualifications, or perfect circumstances. Are you in need of His forgiveness today? Simply cry out to Him and He will answer! His love for you is never-ending, it is a love that is beyond human comprehension so we must simply trust in it. Trust in His reliable Word and in His promises for us found in His Word.

Never accepted or experienced this love? Call our 24-hr prayer line at (704) 525-8638 and let us show you the way. 💛

This scripture serves as a wonderful reminder to let the spirit of gratitude from today carry over into our everyday lives moving forward! Allow joyfulness, frequent prayer, and thanksgiving to become a part of your “new normal”, as it is God’s will for us to live quiet and peaceful lives (1 Timothy 2:2). As you feast and celebrate today, may your actions be a catalyst for a new way of life - free from complaining, strife, selfishness, arrogance, ungratefulness, and every other evil work.

Remember that you can choose to give thanks at ANY time! You can put on joy at ANY time! And you can cast your cares on the Lord as often as you need to! Let today be the start of something new for you and your walk with the Lord. Happy ThanksGIVING!

Another translation of this very same verse reads: “When I am filled with cares, Your comfort brings me joy.” (Psalm 94:19, CSB) There is no problem too hard for God and when we practice casting ALL of our cares over to Him, we will find that He replaces those feelings of worry and panic with joy!

Combat worry and anxiety by choosing to seek after God’s peace today and by actively receiving all the benefits that He offers us as His children.

What a simple yet impactful illustration for us to understand! This scripture makes it plain that we are to let our light shine so brightly for ALL to see that it causes others around us to take notice of God. Letting your light shine can be done through good deeds, out of a Christ-like heart for others. Maybe it’s paying for someone’s items at the register or taking on extra tasks to lighten a co-worker’s load. Whatever you do, make sure it’s not only done in excellence but for the sole purpose of always pointing people back to our Heavenly Father! He gets all of the glory for anything good done in our lives and we should always be aware of the opportunities that we have to show others that.

We’re challenging YOU today family, to find new and BOLD ways to shine!

Won’t you lighten your load this morning? God is willing and able to give you the strength that you need (physically, emotionally and spiritually) all while taking on any burdens you’ve been toting around as well! ⁣⁣⁣Unlike any “experienced” human hiking guide, our Heavenly Father has the ability to lead us and hold us up. With a steady arm, He firmly navigates us through any difficulties (inclines) during this hike that we call Life. Miraculously, He can also handle carrying any burdens, concerns or anxieties that we may have in the process, if we’ll just release them to Him. So, rest IN Him. #HesGotYou⁣⁣⁣⁣

God’s plan for our lives always has a greater purpose than we are naturally aware of. He is omniscient, and as a result, He knows the end from the beginning. So, commit your thought-life to God by trusting Him wholeheartedly. The more that we stay connected to our heavenly Father, the better we position ourselves for God to move in our lives and for Him to lead us were He wants us as His ambassadors. Trust that He knows best for your life. ⁣⁣

🤔 Have you allowed the cares of this world to rob you of your peace of mind? Regardless of your present circumstance, never forget that God’s peace transcends all understanding (John 14:27). It is unbothered by the circumstances of life. So, keep your mind focused on things that honor your Heavenly Father and be sure to confess today: "I have the mind of Christ! Tap into your power source today (yes, even over the weekend 😆). You can do that by praying in tongues and by remembering that God will supply you with any and everything that you need to accomplish His purpose: internal or external strength, peace, wisdom and more! Leave any burdens you may have with God, He handle them; just never forget that your sufficiency doesn’t lie in your intellect, your connections or your bank account. You have all that you need in Christ alone.⁣

As believers in Christ, we have received a new identity, but have you truly embraced that identity? We belong to God, and our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20). Our conversation, values and ways of doing things may appear to be foreign to this world the more we become like Christ and the fruits of the Spirit manifest themselves in our lives. ⁣⁣⁣Meditate on who and Whose you are and your confidence on the authority that you have IN Christ will grow. ⁣⁣⁣

Can you believe we’re half way through the week? Let’s be diligent about continuing (or starting) in choosing our words wisely today. They have power! Speak life and not death over yourself, your family, friends and loved ones. Let your first words today be ones that express your gratefulness to God for the gift of life this morning (1 Chronicles 16:34); and make sure that before you think about the current circumstances of your life - good or bad, you examine what you say. ⁣⁣

Ask God to guard the door of your mouth (Psalm 141:3). You are a child of the Most High God and redeemed from the curse of the law. Remember: your words frame your world! Think on good things (Philippians 4:8), then speak life to your circumstance. Have a blessed day.⁣⁣⁣
