Isn’t it amazing what God asks us to do? Love your enemies? Bless them that curse you? How can God expect anyone to do that? Well, it's simple, number one, God would not ask you to do something you were not capable of doing. Number two, the Bible tells us that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). When you were born again, God placed His love on the inside of you. This makes you capable of loving the unlovable and being merciful to those who need mercy. Just as God loved us while we were sinners, we can love people where they are until they get where God wants them to be. Let's love everybody. Let's show the world what real love is, they need it now more than ever.

How many of us would be further along if we inquired of the Lord? We would probably make fewer mistakes and possibly be further along in life. We have all missed it in the past. We are all human and sometimes we make mistakes like Joshua did in interactions with the Gibeonites. The Gibeonites lied to Joshua and tricked him into making an alliance with them. The Bible says in Joshua 9:14, “And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord”. Our success is in being led by the Spirit of God. God tells us in Isaiah 48:17, “Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go”. God will always have our best interest at heart, and it is always in our best interest to let Him lead us and guide us. When we do, we know success is inevitable.

It’s generational! While you were in your mother’s womb, He loved you. He created you with the perfect combination of your gifts, talent, and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, 1:5). He spoke creation into existence so very long ago, yet we still are reaping the benefits of what He spoke into the atmosphere in faith. You have been called and set apart for His divine purpose. So, confidently place your faith in your Heavenly Father so that He can lead you and guide you where He desires you. God desires nothing but good for your life, so why not submit your plans to His life. Throughout the generations, He has proven Himself to be dependable, consistent, righteous and true. So, commit ALL of your ways to God and trust that He knows best for your life (Psalm 37:5). You can count on Him—He NEVER fails!

The Bible tells us that Job was the greatest of all the men in the East (Job 1: 3). Job was a very wealthy man. He had a large number of sheep, camels, oxen, donkeys, and many servants. The Bible also gives us some clues into what caused Job to be wealthy. He feared God and abstained from evil (Job 1:1). The Bible also tells us that He held fast to the ways of God and treasured the Word of God more than He did his food. This would line up with Psalm 112. In that chapter, it talks about the man who delights in the commandments in the Lord. One of the things was wealth and riches (Psalms 112: 3). When we are lovers of the Word of God and meditate on it day and night, success is inevitable (Joshua 1:8). Job would go through a lot, but God would eventually bless him with twice as much as what he had before the devil attacked him and stole all that he had. Our success as believers will always be tied to the Word of God. It takes the Word of God to renew our minds and to adapt God’s thoughts and ways. Let's endeavor to put the Word first place in our lives, our success depends on it.

If you read the whole chapter, it talks about how God dealt with the nation of Israel. It talks about the signs, the wonders, and the miracles that God did to set them free from bondage and to take care of them in the wilderness. God defended the Israelites, He fed them; He met their every need. He was the Source of everything they needed because He was honoring the covenant that He made with Abraham. The Bible tells us that God doesn’t change (Malachi 3:6). The same way that God took care of His people is the same way He wants to take care of all of us who are His children. In order for us to experience God’s provision, we must put our trust and dependency on Him. What must obey His Word and we must look to Him as our Source, not our jobs, or our education or anything else. God delights in prospering His people, but we must put ourselves in a position for Him to do that. We must not be like the Israelites. The Bible says that they limited God (Psalm 78:41). God wanted to do so much more, but their unbelief and unwillingness to put their trust in God caused them to miss out on God’s best for them. Let’s learn from the Israelites. Let's not hinder God, let’s trust Him and walk in all that He has for us, let’s walk in God’s best!

It is the will of God that His people spend their lives free from sickness and disease. God was letting His people know that if they would listen to His voice and follow His commands and His statutes, He would keep His children free from sickness and disease. In Exodus 23:25, God told the people that “ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee”. Notice that in both Scriptures, serving the Lord and keeping His commandments is what caused God to keep His children in divine health. God does not want His people sick. As we walk with God and obey the Word of God, we can depend on God and trust that He will remove sickness from your midst. God is saying that sickness will not be able to stay in your presence when He is your Healer. Receive God as your Healer on today and know that you can live this life free from sickness and disease.

It doesn’t matter where we start in life, as we walk with God, and as we stay faithful to what He has called us to do, we can know that promotion will take place in His timing. David began his life in a place of insignificance. He was taking care of the sheep, and he was faithful in that, even though he had been anointed to be the next king. The Bible tells us that David behaved himself wisely in all of his ways (I Samuel 18:14). David was faithful in whatever God had called him to, and he was a man after God’s own heart. We must do the same if we expect God to trust us with promotion and increase in our lives. As long as God is number one in your life, God can trust you. He can trust that you won’t turn your back on Him if you are promoted and things in your life start to get better. As we walk with God, we can expect our lives to become better, and we can expect things to get better as long as we keep God’s hand on our lives.

God desires relationship with us. God desires to have a relationship like the one He had with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. He wants to fellowship with us on a daily basis. Sin is what separated Adam and Eve from God. Now that we have been born again, we have been made the righteousness of God. God sees us in right standing with Him, and we can come to Him and talk to Him anytime about anything. Hebrews 11:6, tells us that “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. There are blessings in seeking God. We must make God our vital necessity. You wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with someone who is only in it for what they can get out of it.
In the same way, God doesn’t want us to be in a relationship with Him for what we can get out of it. He loves us, and He has great things in store for us. We will only attain those things as we diligently seek His face. Many Christians seek the hands of God or His provision, instead of seeking His face. It is only after seeking His Face that we start to see a change. It reminds us of the scripture in II Corinthians 3:18 AMPC, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

Everyone wants to enjoy the goodness of God. Unfortunately, everyone isn’t willing to obey the Word of God. God’s Word hasn’t been given to us to take away our fun. God has given us His Word so that we can understand right from wrong. He has given us His Word so that we can know what is acceptable and unacceptable to our Heavenly Father. As we obey His commands, we then begin to experience the blessings of God. Obedience doesn’t cost, it pays! God desires for His children to not only eat the good, He also desires to wear the good, drive the good. He wants us to experience good in every area of our lives because He is a good God. His commandments should not be grievous to us. Our greatest desire should be to please Him in every area of our lives, and when we find out that there is something in our lives that is out of place, we must correct ourselves, because God is not going to change His mind. He loves us and cares for us, and He knows what is best for us. Let’s obey the Word of God and as we follow HIs commands, we will see the quality of our lives steadily improve. God’s Word is true.

When Isaac found out that his wife could not have children, he did what any good husband would do, he prayed for his wife. God answered his prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins. In verse twenty of this chapter, it tells us that Isaac was forty when he married Rebekah. He was sixty when she gave birth to their children, so it could have been a twenty-year period between the time that Isaac prayed and the birth of his children. Many times, people give up when the answer to their prayer doesn’t come at the time that they think it should, but Isaac persisted and held on.
We must persist, and we must continue to stand when it comes to receiving an answer to our prayers. Sometimes, God is dealing with people and it could take some time before they submit to and obey God. Sometimes the enemy may be trying to hinder the answer the way he tried to hinder Daniel (Daniel 10). Whatever the reason may be, we must allow patience to do a perfect work in us, and we must stand on the integrity of God’s Word. If you have been standing for a while, continue to stand. God will never let us down if we continue to put our faith and our trust in Him. Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight.

Did you know that you are incredibly blessed to be a follower of Christ—the son or daughter of the King of all Kings and Lord of Lords? What a great privilege we have to approach the If you claim to be a follower of Christ, throne of our Heavenly Father! It’s only by His grace. Grace refers to one receiving something that is undeserved, and the greatest example of this undeserved mercy is the free gift of salvation we have in Jesus Christ. Aren’t you glad that it doesn’t stop there?
God loves us unconditionally, and though there is nothing we can do to qualify ourselves for that privilege, it is His desire that we come to Him to lay our burdens down at His feet and humbly seek His wisdom and guidance for our lives. At that throne [of grace], He gives us timely blessings and provision for laying down our will and desires and picking up His. So reject anything (emotion, thought or person) who seeks to hinder or discourage you from coming to your Father! Your victory is in your prayer, praise and obedience to God. So go to Him boldly and with expectancy. He loves you, and He’s waiting.

Acts 3 tells the story of a lame man, a man who had never walked a day in his life. He was healed after an encounter with Peter and John. The man was leaping and praising God, and the people in the temple were astonished at what they were seeing. The man was 40 when he experienced the miracle. This miracle shows us that no matter how long you have been dealing with a challenge and regardless of whether it is a physical challenge, financial challenge, or any type of challenge, God can turn it around. People sometimes have a tendency to put a time limit on God. If they receive a turnaround or a breakthrough by a certain time, they let go of what they were believing God for. We cannot be like that. We must be like Jacob, who wrestled an angel. He told the angel ‘I will not let you go until you bless me’ and wrestled with him all night. We must be just as persistent. We must have bull-dog kind of faith. We hold on until we get what we came for. Don’t forget Galatians 6:7, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season you shall reap, if you faint not”. There is a due season for all of us, and if we continue to hold fast to our profession of faith, there will be a performance.

At some point in our lives, we will encounter a situation that appears to be impossible. Those of us who are in the kingdom of God must embrace the fact that there are no impossibilities with God. It doesn’t matter what type of situation it is, financial, health, job, family, etc., God can handle it, and God can turn it around. The Word of God is filled with examples of men and women who face impossible situations. Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown in the lion’s den. Joshua was facing the walls of Jericho. Moses was facing the Red Sea with Pharoah's army behind him. All of these men faced impossible odds and even death, and yet God delivered them. God has not changed. God says in Malachi 3:6, “I am the Lord, I change not”. I don’t know what you're facing today, but know that with God on your side, you can face your situation knowing that you will overcome and you will win.

No matter what the enemy may try to throw your way, God has given us the ability to not only overcome it, but the verse tells us that it cannot even harm us. It sounds a lot like Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against you can prosper, and every tongue that rises up against you in judgement, you shall condemn”. It doesn’t matter what type of obstacle the enemy tries to throw in your direction, we have the physical and mental strength to overcome it. It may not happen overnight, but having done all to stand, we must continue to stand until this verse becomes a reality in our lives. This verse is God’s will for us, and as we stand on this promise, it will become a reality in our lives, and we will overcome every time.

What an example of the will of God in a person’s life! Abraham was old, and he was blessed. The Bible tells us with long life, God will satisfy us and show us His salvation (Psalm 91:16). It is not only His will for us to live a long life, but it is His will that we live a blessed life. He said that He would bless the works of our hands (Deuteronomy 28:12). In that same chapter, God promises that His blessings will come upon us and overtake us (v2). Then again in III John 2, it says, “Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”. Let us never forget that God wants His children to experience His goodness in every area of our lives.

Everything that is good comes from God. God only desires good for His children. If you read Genesis chapters 1 & 2, you will see that everything that God had created was good. Before the fall of man, there was no sickness, no disease, no death. All of those things came as a result of the bad decision that Adam and Eve made in the Garden of Eden. When they disobeyed God, the curse entered the earth. Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus also said in that same verse that the thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
God only has good in mind for His children. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. When challenges occur in our lives, we must know that it did not come from God. God is a good God and His thoughts toward us are that of peace. He loves us, and He only wants the best for His children. Psalms 35:27 tells us that He takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. It brings God pleasure to do good for His children. Every good gift and every perfect gift come from Him.

It was once said that “in consistency lies the power”. Consistency always brings results. When we are consistent in exercising, there is usually a change in our body and in our health. When we are consistent in time spent in the Word of God and prayer, there will be a change in our relationship with God. We will grow closer to Him. There will be an increase of sensitivity in our spirits, and we will be able to hear God more clearly and accurately. That only comes with consistency. James is telling us that as we continue to look intothe perfect law of liberty (the Word of God), a change will take place.
Eventually consistency in looking will cause us to become a doer and then we will experience the Blessing in our lives. Joshua 1:8 tells us that as we meditate on the Word and do what we meditate on, success will be imminent. God desires for His children to be successful. In order to achieve success in His Kingdom, we must start with the Word. As we are faithful in looking into the Word of God, and we are consistent in acting on the Word, we won’t have to chase the blessings, the blessings will come upon us and overtake us.
#blessings #consistency #iamvictory #devotional #dedication #vcccharlotte
Living in the world that we live in, it is easy to be influenced by the culture and its thinking. Sometimes if we are not careful, we forget that we are citizens of the kingdom of God. We are to function and operate according to the kingdom that we live in, not according to this world. We are to renew our minds to the Word of God. We are to see things the way God sees them. We are to always look at things from God’s perspective and not ours. When we think in line with the Word of God, it is easier to walk in what God has called us to walk in. We know that all things are possible. We know that if God is for us, no one can successfully be our enemy. That is why it is imperative that we think in line with the Word of God. When we meditate on the Word of God, day and night, success is inevitable
(Joshua 1:8).
Many Christians have wondered what the will of God is for their lives. As you spend time in the Word of God, you will eventually discern the perfect will of God for your life. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is alive and powerful, and it is a “discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart”. The Word of God will cause a separation of your thoughts and you will be able to discern whether what you are thinking came from God or from another source. The Word of God is so important that it will not only transform you by the renewing of your mind, but it will also help you to discern and distinguish the perfect will of God for your life.

Jesus gave us one commandment. He tells us to love one another, the way He loves us. Have you ever thought about how much God loves us? God’s love for us is unconditional. God loved us while we were in sin. God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten son to die for us (John 3:16). If we were incapable of walking in this type of love, God would be unjust in His expectations. God tells us in His Word that the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5). We are capable of loving people the way God loves us. Love is one of the fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5. It takes discipline and it takes determination, but we can love everybody, regardless of their shortcomings, attitudes, personalities, etc. The next time you think it is impossible to love someone, think about God’s mercy and love towards you. Think about how patient He is with us. When you think about how much God puts up with, it should make it easier to love your neighbor.

God takes pleasure in our prosperity. Every good father wants to see their children do well. No good father delights in seeing their children struggle in any area of their lives. This verse tells us that God delights in the prosperity of His servant. As believers we are not just servants of God, under the new testament, we are sons and daughters of God. If God delights in prospering His servants under the old covenant, how much more will He delight in prospering His sons and daughters. Isaiah 1:19 tells us that “if we be willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land”. As we seek God and obey His Word, there won’t be a need to pursue prosperity, the Blessing of Abraham will come upon us overtake us.
