1 Corinthians 13:5 Amplified Version
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
When we review 1 Corinthians 13:5, it tells us again how unselfish God is. It also shows us that we cannot blame Him for anything bad. He is not rude and He does not act inappropriately. He is forgiving. He does not hold things against us. Once we repent of wrongdoing, He forgets it and moves on with us. He is not on edge so that we have to walk on eggshells around Him. We reverence Him but we also can relax in His presence. Sometimes people have had difficulty praying because they thought they had to formulate a “proper” prayer. God is not like that. He wants us to be real with Him and talk the same way we would to a friend who understands us well. The more we hang around God, fellowshipping with Him, the more we will discover how real He is. Remember, He came down to earth to meet us and lift us up to where He is.
