Deuteronomy 20:8 NKJV The officers shall speak further to the people, and say, ‘What man is there who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart.” Moses gave instructions to the Israelites about warfare. One of the things he told them to do was weed out the fearful people so they would not infect those around them with fear. When we see how our condition can affect others it should motivate us to change what is not right in us. If God did not give us fear we are not stuck with it. Fear must be dismissed from our lives lest we negatively affect our spiritual family. When an adult holds a child, due to the spiritual sensitivity of children, the disposition of the child will be affected by the fear or lack of fear in the adult. Children can help to make obvious what is going on inside of us because they pick it up more easily than adults. Yet the principle is the same with young and old. The aura around us has an impact on those who spend time in our presence.
