God is speaking about the nation of Israel here and it illustrates how He feels about us because we have been grafted in. Galatians 3:29 tells us we are Abraham’s seed through Christ and heirs according to the promise. God loves the whole world but obviously He has a special love for those who are in covenant relationship with Him. His love for us as sinners drew us to Him. His love for us as believers will keep us close to Him. We can only get away from that love if we misunderstand the love of God and are deceived into blaming God for our problems. God is never our problem but He is always our answer. Let us remember today that God loves us with an everlasting love and it was His love that drew us to Him. He will not change. Anything we see to the contrary is a deception. We must believe and trust in our loving God and remain faithful to Him. He loves us.
