Deuteronomy 17:18-19 NKJV
"Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites.  And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,

When a king or other type of leader sees his position as one of power for himself, he is dangerous and bad news for his kingdom. God, through Moses instructed kings to be humble and recognize God's leadership over them. Kings were to make sure they had a personal copy of God's Word. They were to read it daily and order their lives according to it. So it is for us as kings of the kingdom. Before we think of the power we have as kings we must first humble ourselves and realize our power comes from God to whom we owe our allegiance. The Lord will not regret giving power to those who will submit themselves to Him and His Word. I humbly accept the power God gives me as a queen in his kingdom. I will keep His Word close to me and gladly submit to Him and His Word with gratitude.
